Basque sizes

I've just come across this in Simply Yours new season

I've never bought a basque before, so have no idea what size to get it in, I have rather large bussoms and was wondering whether to get it in a size up from my dress size to accommodate them? #

Try bravissimo for a basque, they do them in cup sizes rather than dress sizes so you'll get more support, that simply yours one looks like it would just flatten you down

I ordered the very same basque as the one you were thinking of and I'm sending it back tomorrow - in all 3 sizes that I ordered. My belly is bigger than my chest lol (size 22 top, size 38c boobs), I had to order a size 28 basque believe it or not to fit around my middle but then it was gaping at the top and to be honest it didn't offer much support to my boobs at all !!!!!! I'm sending it back and going down a strapless bra route......

If you like it though try it, we're all different aren't we, you might like it...

I've got the exact same one at home as we speak, it's going back, together with two gok wan ones i ordered from the same place. Although they were very nice and seemed to ofer reasonable support when i first put them on, i tried having a walk round the house in them for a few minutes and i did nothing but pull them back up - obviously fidgetting with underwear is not the look i am looking for on my wedding day!

However, saying all this i am a 38G so do have rather a lot of bust to hold up - think if you were a smaller size than me they might be ok. Probably worth a look, its easy enough to send them back if your not happy.

If anyone has any other basque or underwear suggestions i would be grateful to hear x

Hi Spec - I bought the Gok Wan ones too... not very comfortable I thought!

I'm not sure buying this kind of item online is going to be any good for us brides really (

Hi there, I also ordered a couple of basques from simply yours & sent all of em back. I since ordered the Hestia basque from Bravissimo following a recommendation on here and its lovely, gives a fantastic shape and very flattering & supportive on the bust. I'd definately try there.
