El Dorado Seaside Suites - Restaurant Dress Codes

Hi there,

I think I may have asked this before in another thread, but we are at the point of going honeymoon clothes shopping and h2b needs to know if he can wear:

Trainers
Smart Shorts
Jeans
Polo tops
Casual shirts

In the restaurants, I know it says on the Karisma website:

Question: What is the dress code for the restaurants at night?
Answer:
To enhance your dinning experience, our restaurants dress code is striclty enforced for dinner. No T-shirts, tank-tops, shorts, bermudas, tennis shoes or beach sandals.

But i've heard from others who had no problems wearing smart shorts... please can someone advise? H2B isn't the type to wear linen type trousers or the like, so will probably be in jeans/trainers or jeans/shoes...he'll be hot though eh!!? I assume we can eat in smart clothes then go back to the room after so he can change into shorts for the bars?

I'm guessing I'll be ok in strappy sandals/smart sandals etc...?

I would post this on the relevant Trip advisor forum if I were you - I posted something really specific to my resort on there yesterday and got answers really quickly.

We went to the El Dorado Seaside Suites in Nov 2009 and they weren't that strict on the dress code at all, I bought loads of nice stuff thinking we'd be getting dressed up every night but it was pretty casual

Hello all.. I emailed EDSS and got this response, seems they are allowing shorts now ABOVE the knee,

''To enhance your dining experience, our restaurants dress code is strictly enforced for dinner. No T-shirts (Polo Shirts are allowed because with collar and sleeves), no tank-tops, no sports wear. Dress bermuda (shorts down to the knees) is allowed, and Denim jeans as well. No flip-flops – Leather sandals are allowed. ''

not sure how likely you'll get shorts above the knee.. .do you think these would be ok?
