Subject: DIY Boudoir Photos??
I'd love to give me H2B a book of boudoir pictures on the morning of the wedding (especially after reading everyone's comments on here about how fab theirs have turned out) but my pennies are somewhat none existent as we get closer to the wedding.

Has anyone on here done their own shots at all? I have a camera and a tripod and am okay with the kit. Just wondered if anyone had had any success with doing it this way at all?

Thanks

I know nobody has replied to this message but I know lots of you have had a look - just wanted to let you know I had a play around with this over the weekend and it is definitely possible to do yourself.

It took an awful lot of patience trying to get the shots right but I got there in the end - great idea for all of you that like the idea but just don't have the pennies for a proper shoot

i love this idea! you could just get a friend to come help and then you wont have a stranger taking your photo! i dont know why i didnt think of it myself!
i think im just going to look a photoshoots that celebs have had done and try and recreate them.
what a good idea though!
let me know how it goes!

You should definitely go for it! I bought myself a cheap tripod for £12 but after doing a bit of digging around on the internet I know people have used ironing boards etc to put their camera on.

I googled a load of boudoir sites and made a note of some of the poses/outfits etc and got loads of ideas.

Really happy with some of the shots I got (even if it did take a while to get them!)

Knew it was something I wanted to do for H2B but by the time it got round to booking it my pennies had all just gone.

I think it's a great idea, especially for people who are confident with doing their own styling hair & make-up etc.

It's something i've been considering too as we're really trying to keep the wedding budget in check. The only thing that concerned me would be the lack of the gorgeous backgrounds and sets that you have access to on the professional shoots, how did you get around that?x x

A lot of the backgrounds are either just walls/windows/mirrors etc so there are ways around.

I used a large mirror to get some shots, took some with the light from the window coming through etc. Also, for all the ones with white sheets etc, I just took off the bedding on the bed and laid out a white sheet.

I had ordered some plain black material to use as a back drop (dirt cheap from ebay) but it didn't arrive in time.

Also you can use a large mirror to reflect some light onto your face, body or where ever !
Will take some time but very very possible, have fun too
