Hair / MakeUp recommendations for Newcastle / Northumberland

Hi All

Has anyone got any recommendations for Hair and Make Up people in Newcastle and Northumberland area? I am looking for myself and 2 bridesmaids and maybe mother of the bride but don't want anything crazy expensive! I am getting married at Doxford Hall in Alnwick and staying over night before so want them to be able to come out to me.

I'm using Louise Lunn. She is based in Newcastle but does travel. She offers trials and make up lessons too, and she works with a hair lady who I'm meeting tomorrow so will let you know what she's like.

If yours is a summer wedding though she insists you have more than just the bride so if you want your bridesmaids and mum doing that would be fine.

She uses Mary Kay skin products and MAC make up. Check her out. personally I think she is on the pricey side but I worked on the principle get what you pay for so hopefully that will prove right rather than an expensive lesson ha ha.

Im using ND maleup artists based on Newcastle they are MAC girls and excellent check out their website, im getting married on a sunday and they are coming out to durham.
Hair I defo recommend Lisa Cameron she also travels based again in newcastle and she comes out on Sundays also if need be.

im having this problem too!! i cant afford to be spending too much as iv 3 bridemaids! maybe if i got a place in town that did hair and make up! x

Hey I am also have ND make up artists just had trial Saturday and they were fab - bridemaids are paying for their own makeup as its a non-essential and i said it was up to them if they had it done or now but obviously I am paying for their hair - Lisa Cameron was recommended to me but shes booked up so i am going for simone whitehead. good luck xxx

I would recommend Skullduggeri who are based near the high level bridge but come out to your venue.
The things those girls can do with heating implements and a brush is nothing short of a miracle.
I've used other recommended people and have found myself with a standard face - blush, plain eyes, natural lips) and I can tell now who has used this same woman because of the look.
SD also offer packages for the day and have a VIP room if you are getting married in Newcastle/for your trial. Its huge and you can have champers and nibbles with all the girls. Fab day.

I have not booked my hair yet iam thinking about booking Lisa Cameron, but i have a family friend who does hair and she has offered to do it for me iam just a little worried that if i didnt like it i wouldnt have the heart to tell her.

I have not been to doxford hall just had a little look at there website wow it is so lovely.
