When do the cramps stop?

Hi girls, i got my bfp yesterday, which i'm still smiling about even though i felt pretty sick this morning :\(

Just wondering when the af pain type cramps stop. They seem to have got stronger since i got my result but maybe that's because i'm thinking about it more, but they are getting quite annoying now as i have had the low af pains now for a week and half!!

Occasionally i get a really sharp sort of pain in one particicular area, always the same place to, would that be maybe where skittle has imbedded itself do you reckon?

it could be implantion but i would get your self to the docs and get your urine tested as it might be a infection,these can be painfull,i think i had my pains for about 3wks but i felt pretty awful untill about 13wks when they finaly did a urine test and found out i got a infection,as soon as i took the tablets,i felt great

Well I still get the odd sharp pain but I think the af pains stopped for me at about 11 weeks! I think I was just worrying though and they weren't bad pains.
Do you know how far along you are? I found out at 3 + 5 and then started being sick at 4 weeks, not stopped yet!

The clear blue digital test said 1-2 weeks so still very early days.

Congratulations on your BFP! I got my BFP on the 5th as im sure you remember on the March TTC thread- I milked it a bit! I was 6 weeks on Sat according to the midwife and im still getting the cramps. I've had them pretty much since the day I got my BFP so I reckon you're right in that you're thinking about it more now you know. I was worried at first but have consulted the many books i've already purchased and spoken to a friend and they all say AF type cramps are completely normal unless very painful and persistent or if you also bleed. The books all say your uterus is expanding, your ligaments and muscles are doing overtime stretching so its to be expected. I also get it in one side sometimes too if I stand up sharply for example. This is also mentioned with the above so I think it's normal.

However, if they are much more painful than your normal AF pains completely ignore me and call your midwife/doctor. Or do it anyway if you are worried.

They're not more painful than before really, i guess it's coz i'm noticing them more but they're just getting really annoying now lol

i got them until about 18 weeks x

I also get these 'cramping' type pains. They seem to be more in the evenings for me, and have even woken me up from sleep and kept me awake. I agree with MrsFleming! that these are normal, especially in the inital stages when so much is changing inside your body. I am also around 6/7 weeks.

I'm so relieved I've seen this thread. I've been having cramps bit yesterday they were quite painful and woke me up, same as you lani. I was quite worried. We had a scan yesterday and everything was fine so my hubby said not to worry but I keep thinking if they're bad enough to wake you up surely that's not normal :/ I don't know I'm trying
to relax and not think about it x

Hey girls im 27 weeks pregnant and still get crampy feelings in my belly as if my periods comin.

Hi Lampiekat - can I ask where the pains are and if they are all of the time?
I'm getting the same but mainly in the same place all the time and was wondering whether that was where bean has implanted or if I should be worried.
I think being abroad is making me more panicky and I'm looking forward to getting home. Hopefully BA strike won't affect our flight - currently it is thought to be OK. Hubby has said we should consider upgrading seats as my chair was broken on way over and I couldn't sleep & got very uncomfortable. xx

Hi alison - most of the time it's cramps like AF pain but duller and more often. The sharp specific pain - or as some-one said in another post poking and prodding pains is difficult to explain where as normally i'd just point to it lol so here's a try - it's on the left hand side about 1.5cm above where the top of your pubic hairs stop, if that makes any sense what so ever lol

hey ladies...

this thread has given me slight hope...

had a day of light brown bleed (sorry clearly tmi) just over 2 weeks ago when i was 9dpo... last week had 2 days of stabby pains, assumed af was coming.. right hand side , just above bikini line... but nothing as of yet.. had niggly pains again and last night did mild excercise class, we had to lay on our fronts and it hurt that same side again.. was careful after but thought bit random....

should be due af on friday (have a 35 day average cycle at the moment) and other than very tired, had a few after work naps... no other symptom!

trying to think positive!!!
