Let down by Beautiful Bride Makeovers at the last minute

After arranging my whole day around Tracey at Beautiful Bride Makeovers who was coming to my house to do my hair and makeup trial, she has just called to say that she didnt realise that she had sent the 2009 price list instead of the 2010 list and that her policy had changed so she didnt come out to peoples homes anymore and I would have to travel to Sunderland for my trial.
As it is mothers day I had just got back from buying a nice lunch for the guests I had coming over to be around when I was having my trial done (was having my mum, nan and sis plus others over for a 'girly' afternoon) when I got a phonecall from Tracey saying that because she had other bookings she would have to cancel the later appointment to fit me in if she came out. I told her not to as it isnt fair on the other girl to miss out because of Traceys error.
I had emailed in November about the difference in venue for the trial and the wedding day and she clearly doesnt read her emails as she only realised when she got my email last night saying that my postcode takes you to the wrong place with satnav.
My mum called to cancel her because if she cant get the trial right I dont trust her with my wedding day and she agreed to send my deposit back thankfully. What was very disheartening was that she went on to say that it didnt matter about my cancellation because she had a reserve list! How hurtful. I hope she explains to the bride taking my spot why I cancelled.
So dissapointed and deflated, was really looking forward to today and it has been ruined
So in light of todays events, anyone know of a good makeup or hair artist in the northumberland area? My wedding is at Alnwick Gardens and im staying nearby on the night before.

I had a similar issue! I was sure it said she came out to you for trials when I paid my deposit but then when I tried to arrange a trial she said I needed to go to her base in Sunderland. I know that this is porbably easier for her but I wanted to leave my veil in for a bit to see how the hair felt and don't think I could do that on the drive back!!!

tracey did my friends in jan and was fab, i recently went to her house for another friends trial and she is really great. she's also doing mine in july, i guess she was just a little disorganised but she was saying to me she is manic at the moment and it's probably a really stressful job. hope you get someone else sorted, lisa cameron is supposed to me cracking for makeup but expensive. good luckx

This is tracey from Beautiful bride Makeovers. I am very regretful of the situation this weekends with Helens trial. We started corresponding june last year at which time i was mobile for trials. As the business has grown it has become necessary to work from home to accomodate more brides at the weekends. This was a simple mis communication and i was not aware that i was part of a big mothers day get together bash. I have NEVER missed, cancelled or double booked a bride and even did one 4 days after an operation. I take my business very seriously. And i never cancelled your trial, i asked for you to travel 20 mins to me so that it could still be done. It would not of been a problem. I will be contacting legal advice about the slander involved in this post.

I had my hair and make up trial at the weekend. i had my hair half up with a bit of height at the top and soft curls and my make up really natural.

The hair was ok, it was much too curly for me and did not drop so the lady is going to use bigger rollers on the day so hopefully will make it much softer.

As for the make up, which I asked for a natural look - didn't really look like I had any on. some of you may think this is a good thing but I wanted to look radiant and a bit glam!

having individual lashes put on the day before so that will help, also might ask for a bit of eyeliner and bronzer and bring my own lipstick. Apart from that it was quite good, I'm fairly confident it will be alright on the day, she can always add make up, it's easier than wiping it off and starting again!

Wow. Professional? I don't know of you, don't live near you but if I did, even if I had never known what anyone else thought of you I think my mind would be made up after reading your comments. And searching and quoting previous clients...Hmmm. Daytona, I would contact the webfolk if I were you. This is a forum for brides talking to other brides, which is all she did.

It is not a site to slander businesses without due coarse that have invested a lot of time and money into making brides wedding days the best they can be. When other brides jump on the band wagon after being totally happy at their trial. I have thousands of happy brides who i could ask to post on here to rave about what i did for them, why shouldn't i be allowed to state what actually happened to Helen? And all that actually did happen is that i asked her to come to me 20 minutes away for her trial to take place!!!! This was unfair of her and proceedings are now underway to ensure that brides think before naming businesses to ruin reputations under such trivial circumstances. I did not cancel her wedding day!!! I did not double book her and i did not deliberatly RUIN her mothers day experience!!!

I am reading this in disbelief! I used tracey for my wedding in 2008 and now use her regularly for parties, weddings, basically any event I go to I use tracey for hair/makeup as she is fantastic and by far the best makeup artist and hair stylist I have ever used. To post about her in this way just because of a communication error is disgusting and is slanderous.

Tracey has never missed or changed or cancelled any of my many bookings so cant imagine she would suddenly start doing so! She is very professional and takes her job very seriously, this is the biggest day of peoples lives we are talking about.

I very rarely comment on posts but still visit the forums frequently to read up but felt I needed to fight traceys corner when bitchy comments are being made.

Perhaps she is better off without your booking. I will be speaking to tracey about this as I cant believe my eyes!

Tracey, I think you are in fact doing more damage than good to your reputation. If I lived in the area I would certainly think twice before hiring you after seeing your threats of legal action and childish rants. I definitely wouldn't trust you with my wedding day after seeing such unprofessional behaviour.

She's protecting her business theres nothing childish about that! Check the t's and c's of the site you will see daytona and sara are actually in the wrong and the childish ones here!!
