Subject: Bridesmaid dresses to suit all shapes and sizes?!
Hello,

I've recently got engaged and am new to the website forums. I've only really just started looking at magazines for inspiration, however i have 2 prospective bridesmaids to think of who are both beautiful in very different ways - one being a larger lady, (about a size 20), and the other a very slim size 8, maybe even a 6. I'm concerned that I'm not going to be able to find a style which will suit them both, and i don't know where to start looking!

If anyone could share any tips I'd be really grateful!

Thanks!

I think an empire line style dress would suit as it covers lumps and bumps and skims the body shape rather than hug. Would look flattering on both figures I think x

Mine are very different but both have this one from Alfred Angelo, style 6493. One is a size 12 and very pear shaped, the other an 18 and more hourglass. It hides a multitude of sins and still really flattering for their very different shapes.

From website:

I have a similar problem so have gone for these lovely dresses from Monsoon (last year though) - it seems to be a good shape on the thin/lesthin busty/flat curvy/notcurvy

I actually have an 8 and a 12 for sale as well if anyone is interested?

I had a problem with my BMs, i have 2 13yr olds, 1 16yr old and 1 21yr old. all different shapes. No one over a size 12 but the 21 and 16 are VERY busty.

Weve gone for hillary morgan dress with embroidered flowers on it. strapless. long. corset built in but there are no pulls at the waist. for the 21yr old we bought a sash to make it into a halterneck dress; that make it covers her side boob!. it hasnt bee altered yet as they arrive in May but i can keep you updated if you want. Hillary Morgan doesnt do a website so less people have them, which i like the idea of! Lots of people are seen in Forever Yours etc.

Maybe your size 20 BM should go for something that has sleeves? Depends how photogenic she looks in dresses and how comfortable she feels. xx

Just another couple of pics of my other BM to compare to the one I posted above, so you can see how it suits different figures. Dress still to be fitted in these pics though! Far too big at the top and sides! xx

We've gone for differernt styles in the same colour and material.Generally speaking when I've seen a group of bridesmaids who are different sizes wearing all the same style, in my opinion it only really suits one of them.

My size 12/14 bridesmaid was quite keen to be in a different style to my size 6/8 bridesmaid.
