I am getting married in Perranporth in 2011 with the reception in Crantock. I just wondered if anyone had any recommendations - hair/make up, wedding cakes? Im also in need of some inspiration for wedding enterrtainment? DJ or Band or both?
Any ideas or recommendations would be fab!

Hi, I am getting married in Cornwall 7 weeks today!! I'm going to Inkfish in Truro for my hair - had a trial there a couple of weeks ago and it was fab. My sister is doing my make-up so can't help with that one, sorry. We are using LightBox photographic and have our 'pre-wedding' shoot with them at the end of the month. The florist is Rachael from Tresillian Garden centre (Bel-Flori i think its called). She is absolutely lovely and so reasonably priced. there is a cornwall thread already on the getting started page which has loads of good info on.

Where in Perrenporth are you getting married? I just love it there and go every year. As for the arrangements, we are ordering M&S cake and collecting from Truro store, family are doing my hair and make up, possibly making my own bouquet and hiring music sound system from a place in Truro too.

Im getting married in Seiners Arms - just really liked the feel of the place, hopefully the sun will be out and we can have Pimms and Lemonade and canapes on the decking bit out the back. Then having the reception in Crantock Bay Hotel. Really liked the manager there, very helpful with suggestions and flexibility
I wish I lived closer...its a 5 hour drive from me...would be much easier to sort stuff out.

hi, im getting married on may 2nd at tregenna castle in st ives, we come from dorset so organising is hard work for us as well x
We are getting married in Porth in December. (We dont live in Cornwall either!!!!)
We have also booked Lightbox Photographic, we seemed absolutly lovely. Our cake is being done by the 'Wendy House' in Newquy who are doing us a 3 tier wedding/cheesecake for £100 - Bargain! I've tasted one of thier cakes before and it was delish so fingers crossed for the wedding cake!

Can anyone recommend a good band? We are thnking of having a band but can't really afford ones that cost 1000's. I have no idea of the going rate for bands. Any ideas would be great xx

Hi Lanney! We are getting marrid at the Sands Resort - I used to go there on holiday with my family when I was little so it has some lovely memories for me!
They are still a 'holiday' hotel but also do weddings, spa breaks etc....
Our wedding cordinator (Leeanne) has been so helpful - so far there hasn't been anything that we have asked for that they cant do - makes the whole thing far less stressful.
