Value wedding favours - is this good value opinion wanted!

Hi!

New to this forum thing, getting married in feb 2010.

Found a company that does a ready packed bombiniere style favour that contains a fridge magnet with image of choice on (I might have a picture of me and my partner) a couple of sweets / chocs, table confetti and a little card with a small love poem on. They will d it for £1 each if I get 100 - is this a good deal? Does anyone think its a nice idea?

Hi I think that is a good deal/idea your getting four items if you look how much favours are i.e box with sweets or a organza bag with just sweets or choc in you have a bargain what is the website??

That is a really good deal and a sweet idea.

Making my own favours for our 'small wedding'- individual tea bags in cellophane bags with a tag saying our names and wedding date and 'the perfect blend' (appropriate as we met getting teas) and mini matchboxes printed with 'the perfect match' and two mini sparklers attached. We have twenty adults at this small wedding and the favours are costing me £30 including all materials.

and for our 'big reception party' having homemade biscuits shaped like puzzle pieces, in cellophane bags, tagged with little tags with our names, wedding date and 'the perfect match'. Also having dessert table and little boxes of popcorn and sweety bags for people to take away.

Not sure about giving people a photo of you as a couple tho if I'm totally honest. Not my cup of tea xx

think it is a good idea, but not sure people other then relatives would want the photo of the two of you, a good idea but can see poeople chucking them in the bin after a couple of months. But having said that these people would probably throw anything away you give them unless its food, so i would say if you want them then go for it, the poeple who count (ie your family) will like them

Thanks for the response! Think I still like the idea of having a pic of me and my man (its something grandma would like! Or I might go for a cute pet).

Its actually organza bags (I got it wrong) but they will try and match the colour scheme which is cool. Its a local company they just have an email at the mo - if you email them they will send you a free sample.
