Subject: Any side headband suggestions?
I have now ordered 2 side tiaras, but although lovely, neither are quite right.

The first one is from Glitzy Secrets, I love it, but not too sure on the double band as my hair is very fine (I will wear this one though, if can't find anything else)

The second one is from Mango gems. This is pretty too, and is on a single band, but I prefer the larger side piece on the Glitzy Secrets one, as I find it stands out more. I am selling this one on the best buys thread, with the matching bracelet, if anyone wants it.

Can anybody suggest anything else I could look at? I definitely want a side headband as opposed to a comb or hairclip as my hair is very fine, and the others won't stay in. My dress has crystal, diamante and crystal detailing. It must be silver. I prefer the vintage style. Price wise preferably round the £50 mark, but will consider anything!

Would be greatful for any help x

Have you spoken to your hairdresser about the Glitzy Secrets one and covering the double band? They can work miracles, it may well be that it can be covered up - clip in extensions might help. I would ask.

Thanks hun, it's a bit early for a hair trial, but I was thinking of getting hair extensions anyway. I'm at the hairdressers in a couple of weeks so I'll see what she thinks. I love the glitzy secrets one, and will probably keep it anyway, but keep thinking the 'perfect' headband must be somewhere out there!

Thanks girls, I've seen loads I like, but have fallen in love with this one although it's way over budget!

Got a long time to think about it! I've spent about 20 times longer looking at tiaras than I ever did my dress!

Thanks, It's from Flo & Percy, but costs £185, which is 4 times the amount I wanted to spend (& more than my entire flower cost!)! Looks like I need to get doing some ebay selling!

Hi

I just wanted to mention that I bought a headband from Flo and Percy (which I have since sold on) - it was lovely but very heavy for my hair which is also very fine. I would suggest if you do buy one from F&P make sure that you get them to agree that you return it if it doesn't work for you hair.

Thanks hbpurple, I'm hoping I can find one that I can try on before I buy it, otherwise I'll do as you suggested x

Carrie Yeo have some lovely ones - I'd got mine from there - the Audrey one, it was £160 so a bit cheaper than the flo and percy one, I wore it for about 5 or 6 hours when I was having my trial and dress fitting, was comfy didnt feel heavy at all and the lady who runs it is lovely! They even altered my necklace to be shorter a few months after I bought it (decided it was a bit long at the dress fitting) and they did it really quickly and only charged me for postage......might be worth a look!
Yarwood white also have some lovely stuff in.

If anyone is on a budget I saw this one in New Look at lunchtime for £6 - it was quite cute I thought. [http://image.packshot.com/isp/erez?src=NLW/190769313.tif&tmp=newlook_prodStandard]
