Anyone else fed up with arranging everything?!

Hey Fellow Bride 2 b's!

I'm going to sound like a moaning old cow but....

Is anyone else sick of arranging their wedding? It's only been the last week or so i've felt like this ( in fact I have loved organising it until now) - we get married next month in Barbados.
I think perhaps it's because so close now and almost everyhthing is done apart from a few niggly things that are in the back of my mind like there always seems to be something to do, think about, pay for etc arrrrrrr
And everyone I see the first thing they ask is 'hows the wedding planning going etc' I know everyone is being nice and I sound like a selfish moo but it's all people talk about! H2B feels the same! In a way I can't wait for it to be over so we can just do whatever without having the wedding to concentrate on!

Hahah ! I'm having one of those days today to be honest! Cant find a hairdresser that doenst cost a fortune! I just rang my best friend and I will quote her advise ' Have a nice glass of wine, chill out and enjoy every second because it's over before you know it and it costs a bloody fortune!! ' So about to go crack open the wine!! She should know shes been married and divorced twice! Lol!

I'm looking forward to it all coming together but I'm one of those freakish people who love organising so not fed up with it yet. Noone ever asks me about anything to do with the wedding - that's why I spend half my life on here. h2b is driven mad with wedding talk!

smile09, so hows the planning going (only kidding) I think I'm there on the idea of the wine. Moh has just suggested going to the pub because its Paddy's day, good excuse, if you need one. Especially since there isn't a drop of Irish blood in either of us!! Seriously though, you are probably knackered from doing it all, running on adrenalin becasue you ahve soo much to think about. Are you having a hen do, if so, maybe concentrate on that for a day or 2. Mmmmm funny how all the solutions seem to involve alcohol in some form

I'm actually the opposite at the mo. Got fed up a few weeks ago and took a break for a while. Ha a real great day yesterday though and got loads done so feel great today! Although I'm 100% with you- everyone one I see it's "how's wedding plans going" well nothing has changed since I saw you five mins ago!!!

I actually just sat down and worked out everything we've spent and what's left so I'm feeling real positive!! Only got bm dress, hair and make up and dress alterations to do then I'm ALL DONE!!

Yep, I'm pretty fed up of it too!! Seems like a mad rush to finish all the plans at the end!! Not only is there wedding plans but also holiday plans (determind not to leave all the packing til the last minute, took me ages last holiday and was up til 4am the night befroe we left) and also UK reception plans, I've pretty much single handedly organised the whole thing, I'm not sleeping very well, sick of dieting and everytime someone says - 'oooh its not long now, are you excited?' I feel like saying yes, but I'm also bloody tired and stressed But ofcourse thats not the answer they're excitedly waiting for, ha ha.
It will all be worth it in the end I know but I dont deal with excess stress very well, I'll certainly be glad to be able to look back o nthe days with happy thoughts and then get my life back to normal......

Im same as MrsHardingtobe really. I get down about being so un bloody decisive but thats me lol x

Thanks everyone!!! Feel much better now! I get that all the time - 'are you looking forward to it' I just want to say Sarcastically No..I mean of course I am looking forward to it! Ha

I think if I get these niggly things out the way I will be ok...or find more niggly things

Ah bless get yourself a big glass of vino it helps. I am not a drinking but we have had a major problem with our wedding which got worse about two weeks ago and i wasn't sleeping so i had a tipple on a night and boy does it work. It helped me through my little spell and i feel better now for all our wedding is not sorted and we have 6mths to go. I am hoping to get it sorted by next week, fingers and toes crossed. If not i think i am ready to give in xxxxxxx

Why does it seem like for our weddings you have to sort everyone else out too!

Or maybe thats just me!
I am enjoying organising our own stuff, but other peoples outfits, holidays, flippin passport renewals, euros! Suppose I don't mind really!!

Sometimes I think i won't know what I'll do when its over, but actually we are having an intimate (just us and witnesses) church blessing a month after our return and also having a belated vegas honeymoon in october, so I'll still have things to "arrange" haha!

I haven't even made any firm plans yet and already super-stressed!!!

We live in Sydney and ANGSTING over the decision whether to have the wedding here or back at home in the UK. Either way, you could call it a wedding abroad!

We are leaning towards a small, intmate outdoor ceremony in Sydney for the wedding proper, with around 30-40 guests max (depending on who is willing and able to fly half way around the world!) . We'll then have a UK blessing and party at some point as well. However, it is SOOOOOO hard to figure out a good time for the Aussie wedding!! H2B and I have different busy times at work, plus I am studying an MA part-time so can't really do it during term time. Parents are generally fine to come wheneverm, but my 2 sisters (BMs) are both at uni full-time so can't come during their term time, which is different from Australian terms.

So, we may end up going for a UK wedding after all, which I literally have NO TIME to plan with heavy workload and studies - NIGHTMARE!!! So I feel your pain and nothing wrong with admitting it get stressful at times...people actually do this for a living, so that shows you that its WORK!! xxx

You tooooo?? I thought it was just me!! Apart from everything else i am also searching for cheap tickets to Cy, cheap hotel rooms, trying to find a hairdressernot only for me but for mum, mum in law, all bridemsaids and girlfriends!! AAaa!! Just hope Im not an alcohoolic by September.. Oh yes.. and H2B just would like to turn up on the day!!! :\)

I'm loving the arranging so far, it is a bit of a pain though sometimes!!

Just remeber though girls....when its all over we'll be wishing we could go back and do it all again, i bet ya! Try and enjoy it, it will be here and gone before we know it x

Freewomen - woah that's alot to think about and arrange! Hope you figure it out, at least your parents are being flexible! I know how difficult it can be ...especially with my Mother

Me too - I asked for everyone's passport numbers and expiry dates, didn't need them but to check they were in date ?

Going to sit down and hopfully sort everything out tonight!!!
