Dont know what to do now. updated pg7

Hi ladies,

im so upset and dont know what to do i need to get my head round this but dont know how to. Have been off work sick last 2 weeks with bad pains in tummy been admitted twice to hospital and finally got results back today and wished i hadnt. my cancer has come back in my bowel and bladder and have been told there is no more they can do for me. so many questions are going round my head, why didnt they pick this up sooner? why me? what do i do now? Got meeting with oncologist on Fri to discuss it all but i the mean time i dont know what to do. Hubby is being brilliant and has gone to get a nice big fat chinese,

Hi Carly, I didnt want to read and run and can't even begin to imagine what you are going through. I am so sorry to read your news, and it is brilliant that hubby is standing by you - not that we would expect anything else mind!

I can't really comment on why it wasn't picked up before because i don't know the nitty gritty, but i am so sure that they did/do/will do every thing they can for you.

Wait and see what they say on Friday, you never know what the oncologist will say; i know they have told you the results today and that they can't do any more for you, but fingers crossed they will come up with a plan.

In the meantime, easier said than done i know, try and keep busy, hubby i am sure will help you do that. They say alot of defeating this horrid disease is the patients positive thingking; you have to stay strong in your mind, and that will help your body stay strong.

Keep us posted on how you are and what they say on Friday, and i send you so so much love and luck.

Oh I'm so sorry to read this Carly, you must feel so confused and lost at the moment. I second what Shelly said about positive thinking; try to keep busy as much as possible, I know it's impossible to keep your mind off it but just being on the go all the time might help to get you through to Friday.

The oncologist may have better news for you than you envisage hun, there may be a way through this so take some deep breaths and take each day as it comes. You have so much to fight for, from the sounds of it a wonderful hubby and you must try to keep those spirits up.

omg hun am so sorry to hear this, I am sure the doctor shall do anything and everything they can for you.
Like the others I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through or how u must feel, but I agree with Shelly please try and stay strong and keep postivie in ur mind, it will be hard at first

Oh Carly, I'm so sorry to hear your news. It's no wonder you weren't able to ask any questions, it was such a massive shock to you. Ok now thinking about clearer,
plan of action

1)have decided only to tell close family and friends

2) gonna make a list in bed soon of all the things i want to do--disneyland paris a must

3) gonna stay postive im here now and got to live for now not later.
