First dance song choices

Hey ladies

Hope planning going well

Besides stil not having flower girl dresses we're really struggling with choice if song for firat dance . Our band ahave told us that if we tell them asap they can learn it.

Nothing worng with a slow love song..lovely if you like that . But I dodn't lieke idea of people looking as it is without having to feel uncomfortable just sawying , Sounds silly but we are the same height can't really snug myself into his shoulder .

Plus we tend to like ( tho I love indie and girl ballads like bif naked and big runca and kelly clarkson ) but together we prefer a little indie . We do love chasing cars but alot of people we know have had that.

At moment we are thinking heaven but the faster version not to fast tho ( not into dance) or wanndies ..you and me always ..as lyrics in that very us for when am mad he always makes me laugh.

But just don't know what to pick . Shania twain 'still the one; been song that is ours for long time as weve been together for ten years but I wana be able to have fun a little.

Ah I like jack johnson he just been put into my songs ideas for signing register or for mp3 during the meal. Love jason moraz am yours too ..smilair sound.

I did just find ordinary boys I love you too and plain white T's . I am also thinking maybe a golden oldie could be good idea be nice if you were out somewhere and your wedding song came on.

We are having Jason Mraz & Colby Calliat- Lucky. The words are so beautiful & we love it!

MrsBiggs2b - we were thinking about that song as our first dance too! We're going to have it played while we are signing the register instead.

We are having our first dance to Ray Lamontagne - Hold you in my arms. He has a fantastic voice and we went to see him in concert recently and he was fab!

What about Kings of Leon, Use Somebody

That's what we're having - h2bs idea, I was quite impressed really. It's nice but not too slushy, and fairly short!

We are having Bright Eyes - First day of my life (it is a slow song though but a bit different...) it was the one on the Halifax advert (if you saw the old ones) when the guy proposed to his girlfriend by climbing up the people to her window... Although we chose it BEFORE this!!

Have you thought of Something Changed by Pulp? It is our backup song... lyrics are great - check it out on you tube, slightly faster...

We're stuck too. I quite like Everything by Michael Buble but I know what you mean about swaying but also don't want to have to learn a dance. (The last wedding we went to they danced to Moon River and had a very choreographed dance! Lovely, but not up my street!)

It really is so hard to decide!! We're thinking about the Lifehouse song "you and me" or Ray Lamontagne song "You are the best thing", bit more upbeat but still lovely words!!
My sister had The Guillemots "Made up Love Song" which was so good as it's not too slow and they could have a good dance to!!xx

It's such a lovely song!! My sisters husband emailed the band to tell them and they send a lovely reply to them!! The lead singer guy is doing solo stuff now I think and they went to see him at a concert and then met him in the pub afterwards and had a drink with them-was a really nice guy!!

Some gorgepous songs there ladies , it will be fab.

Don't wana do choreographed dance just want to move together in fun way.
I forgot about few of the above ..lighthouse family ..he has lush voice.... the Jason and coby song 'lucky ' do love that. But do words have to fit exactly ..guess not . We did have long distnace love to start our relationhip.
