What have you got planned already???

Hi all other 2011 brides.

Wanted some advice as to what I should be doing at the moment. Our big day is 24th September 2011 and we have booked our venue and registrar so far and that is all. We have found the photographer we like but are waiting on an accurate quote as his prices have changed since when he initially quoted us but other than that we have done nothing more.

I feel like we should be doing things but I don't know what or whether it's still a bit too early to do anything?

Any suggestions or advice? Please....?? lol :\)

We get married 17th Sept 2011 and so far we have booked venue, registra and photographer.

I am going dress shopping in the easter hols with my sister and neice, making a girly day of it.

We have bought our stationary and assembled the pocketfolds, just need to print the invites.

We have made our wedding website

H2B has found where he is getting his suits from, he just needs to choose the waistcoat

We are making appointments for flowers and rings in the next few weeks.

We wanted to get everything booked and deposits paid asap to give us a better idea of how much we are gonna need to save over the coming year, I lost our original budget sheet and had to re-do it the other night and somehow its almost 2k less, so I have a feeling I've missed something off!!!

I am hoping to meet florist next month as part of the package we get with our venue is a floral arrangement in the ceremony room so thought I'd speak to the lady who'll do that and get a price from her for the rest of the flowers.

H2B has decided what style of suit he wants & knows roughly where he wants it from but that's about all.

Hoping to make our own invitations but have no idea where to start with that, any ideas?

Really feel like I should be doing more but don't know what to do. lol. Both on diets as well so don't know whether its worth trying dresses yet because of this. aarggh who knew planning was so complicated. lol

lol, I know what you mean about feeling the need to do more, everyone keeps telling me theres ages yet, but I'm too impatient!!

We get our flowers in with our package too, but I'm not having flowers and neither are my BM's so its just button holes we need to look at, we are hoping to get our venue to get our flowers from the florist we use regularly as the flowers last for ages and a friend who got married at my venue had problems with her flowers from the venues florist.

We got our pocketfolds via a lady on this site, but before that we were looking at PDA card and craft and pocketfoldinvites.co.uk, Pureinvitation.co.uk is a great site too.

11th June here...

We have:

Booked and paid deposit for the venue
Booked and paid deposit for the caterer
Provisionally booked the registrar

A close friend is doing our photos
My mum is making my dress
I'm doing the "flowers" so have started on them already (I'm knitting them)
Got my shoes
Got 3 tiaras ;\)
Chosen the image for our invitations and stationery and will get them all done on Vistaprint
FMIL is making the cake

We aren't having any bridesmaids/ushers/best man so don't need to worry about that.

I can't believe I forgot to say I have my shoes!!! H2B has his also, he keeps finding excuses to wear them in lol

Gosh I've hardly done anything have I. lol. Might have to kick this up a gear I think. lol. Any excuse really.
inkiepixie - knitting your flowers, i'm v v curious??

So far I've booked the registry office and reception venue.

Planning on doing my dress and shoe shopping this April. And start practicing making cup cakes and fortune cookies in July/August.

Rest - I guess I'll organise in October when we come back from my H2B's brothers wedding.

Oooo - I saw some flowers made out of buttons that looked really good. But my H2B HATES buttons (maybe why I love the button flowers so much!) so I'm not allowed them So recon I'll just go into Tesco's the day before and pick some up from there.

kem, I'm having a button bouquet I'm about half way through making it, I was shocked at the price of weding flowers and thougt it would be a nice keep sake x

Hello everyone! My first post on the forum! We get married May 29th 2011 and we have booked the venue and registrar, booked and paid for the suits, bought the bridesmaid dresses, booked and paid for the photographer and booked and left a deposit for a dreamscreen. We are so damn organised!!

We've both picked out rings but we've not bought them yet and decided on Mauritius for the honeymoon but again, nothing booked yet.

I AM SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!

Put deposit on dress
Bought veil & tiara (and also tiara for flower girl)

Think as long as uv got ur venue booked then ur ok. Everything else can wait a bit longer. I just cant stop looking and choosing, its just too exciting you know
