Looking for some help and advice im new to all this.

I also have 2 children so am looking for somewhere that children are able to go to.

Hiya hun, I personally would go with a planner not a travel agent but you have to do what suits you, Im using Cyprus dream weddings, which i found online, and they are amazing, other ladies on here are using other planners so have a look around, see what is best for you. Your planner will also be able to advice on good places to stay with children as well. Good Luck xx

hiya, and welcome!

We are using Marriageincyprus.com aka Aphrodite wedding planners , they are all from england and are a very nice ladies , i am using them to arrange all my paperwork and legalities, and doing the rest myself, do you know what side of the island you would like to get married?
My wedding is at the Capo Bay right on fig tree bay, Protaras it is a very family orientated area , i have 2 small boys and a few other kids coming to my wedding so this was a big thing for me too,
As far as setting a date i know travel agents will tel you a yr in advance i think a planner can get in there before ( i booked 18 months in advance) it all depends on when the municipality bring the dates out for that year, also travel agaents dont tend to tell you your time of the ceremony till you arrive in resort,

Good luck with your planning if you do go my end of the island give me a shout i have loads of numbers and contacts if you want to book services yourself xx

Hi,

We have just been over to Paphos and booked with a planner. We heard that the tour companies can be a bit expensive for the various extra's so we opted for a planner on that basis.

www.paphosweddingsmadeeasy.com speak to Cathy, they spent loads of time with us at the weekend and have kept things within our budget and we have not had to compromise anything we wanted.
I am sure they will give you some great options for 2012. Will let you know how things are going for us, we are June 2011.

forgot to say that the Alithian holiday village can only be booked throu First Choice holidays in the summer.
I have organised my wedding myself but alot of people have chosen the online companies - dont use a travel agent, they arent specialised in selling weddings (i used to work for Thomas Cook)
defo go throu online company - Zuchinni weddings is brill. I know a lady there and she helped me book my wedding venue - her name is Lorraine

Hiya cgmt and welcome

Firstly I would avoid travel agents and booking your wedding thru them especially like the plague!

I am using a wedding planner to assist with the legal side of things and help with suppliers etc. I am still doing stuff myself though which I like.
They are www.paphosprestigeweddings.com

The Kefalos Beach Village is brill for kids, we have a 4 yr old son and I am having my reception there at their private new theatre, www.kefalos.com.cy xx

Hello there, I am getting married this year at the Kefalos, the place is ideal for a wedding, I am getting married at the beach gazebo and having my wedding reception outdoors. I have seen the place it is great for kids, they cater a lot for kids as well as adults. Just visit their web-site on www.kefalos.com.cy or e-mail Elena for more information on kefalos@kefalos.com.cy. I am using Anna from Paphos wedding belles as my wedding planner, she is brilliant, you can see her web-site on http://www.paphosweddingbelles.co.uk/ and I am sure she will be able to help you booking a wedding in Cyprus in 2012.

Good luck
