Not sure if i'm posting this in the right place but I wondered if anyone had any experience with Smooch. We saw their stand at the wedding show and they are coming to see us next week. I have not really looked into rings yet but don't want to be seduced by shiny rings if they are massively overpriced or badly made or something...
Hi i cant praise them enough as our rings are perfect. we were very fussy with what we did and didnt want and they met our needs perfectly. We went to meet them at a fayre to book an appointment to be told they were fully booked in our area til end of march. They then passed our details to one of the main peeps who fitted us in around her normal family life. They say rings normally take 6 weeks but as we were tight (8 weeks at time of appointment ) they would put ours as priority and take 4 weeks. 3 weeks later we had them in hand in perfect condition. We had text messages throughout from company as to when they were being dispatched and from the main jeweller herself.
You will find both positive and negative on here like i did when i research but use your gut instinct as the meeting as you dont have to buy anytthing if your not sure and u still get freebies sent to you.
My rep was great but I think I'm going to get mine designed by a local designer. I need it to be really, really specific to match and fit my engagement ring and although Smooch offered it to fit, I'd rather have the security of the whole process the designer goes through of seeing it as wax model first, then seeing every stage and changing anything that needs changed as it goes along. I thought prices for mine were fine but h2b's titanium one was overpriced.
i have a rep coming over tonight
i saw them at the secc glasgow wedding fair and they seemed really nice but if you want i will do a litle report (lol) tomorrow?
Hi me and H2B have ordered our rings from Smooch. The lady that does the Sheffield area was lovely and it was nice to just sit in our own home choosing our rings. I think they were great!
we ordered both our ring's from them but are very dear and you don't seem to get much for ur money so i canceled mine and my h2b is still getting his, it's only a plain gold band with our names engraved the whole way round it and it's £700 so very pricey, they charge by the diamond to and i wanted them in my ring so ended up going to a jewelers as it worked out better for mine. the were very good though at you paying off the ring's and send text messages to remind you of any payment changes.
Hi - I had a smooch consultant come round to mine. She was lovely and I am sure the service would have been fine but they are very overpriced IMO. Even with a 10% discount voucher the prices I got quoted were £475 for my platinum ring and £320 for his palladium ring. Nothing special - just simple bands. I eventually got rings from the place my e-ring came from for £325 (my Platinum) and £135 (Palladium groom's) so it's worth shopping around unless you want something very particular.
Hi,
We got both our rings from them. Great service and very happy with the rings. Mine has diamonds around the band, and is gorgeous!
Maybe a little pricey but we got exactly what we wanted.
