Hi ladies,
I love this website and would normally only read through posts and replied very rarely but i have now decided that there is a lot of support out there amongst us B2B's and its my best place to look for help and support.
I used to a member of Slimming World and lost just under 2 stone before Christmas 2009, being on slimming world and going to the gym nearly every day was a great help in loosing this weight. However, i have just been on a months holiday and have lost all motivation and determination. Being in America with unhealthy portion sizes following by 10 days of bliss in the Middle East eating out every night has not helped whatsoever. So im biting the bullet again and have decided to go back to SW and the gym and will rejoin both tonight.
Before i had a slimming buddy in work but she has lost a lot of weight and only works part time so i dont have full support the whole week through. Having someone there on hand who was trying to achieve the same goals was an amazing help and gave us both inspiration and determination.
I am looking for a buddy to help each other slim down, maybe someone who is getting hitched in 2011 which will give us both plenty time to achieve our goals.
Maybe we could share Slimming World recipes each week, little treats etc.

I would love to be your SW buddy :\)

I'm not going to club but I am following the plan at home and will soon be upping the exercise (had my gallbladder out a fortnight ago so still taking it easy at the moment)

I won't lie I'm a rubbish dieter!! I love to have a drink and lots of treats at the weekend, although I am healthy during the week.

However, I need to sort myself out as I am dress shopping in 5 weeks (eek) with final measurements being taken in 14 weeks (double eek)

I am a veggie and so I always follow Green.

One other thing, I've hidden my scales!!! I was getting really depressed with it all to be honest and I needed to cut myself some slack.

Last time I weighed I was 12st 7lb and I would love to get down to 9st 7lbs by my wedding in December

So anyway, don't know if I qualify as buddy material, but if you're willing I am!!

Hello mrsjtob, nice to hear from you, thanks.
Of course your buddy material, anyone on a diet with the same aim is welcome.
I hope your on the mend after your operation, make sure you take it easy.
I would love someone new to meet and help along the way.
So I went back and joined the class again earlier, was in a panic because hadn't been for long time but four months in I've put on 5lb.
Not ideal but for 4 months away its averaging a pound a month. Still bad!!!
How do you find the green days? What about exercise, do you go to the gym?
Gym is next on the list! Boo!!

Hi ladies, I too would like to join in on the sw fun!! I too lost 2 stones but after a stint in hospital just before Xmas I completely lost motivation and have fallen into BAD habits! It appears everything I like is bad for me. H2b not too thrilled at prospect of me going back on SW as he ends up being an unwilling participant alongside me!!! I'm also getting married in 2011 and am determined not to leave it too late to loose the extra pounds as I don't want loads of pressure on myself as the big date nears!! I have decided to join next week-my weigh in day will also b wed so that's ideal!!
If by any small chance u live in Sheffield may have to drag me kicking and screaming to the gym-I HATE it!!!!
Right weight loss.......here we come!!!!

Hey Ladies,

I have just joint SW. I need to shift... well alot. I am 13.05 at the moment and want to be around the 10.07 mark. Can I join???

My WI day is Wednesday.

I went to the gym this morning, so I was off to a good start.... until I had a pie for tea. How about we all start coming up with new dinners? I find meal plans really good.

I am also getting Married in 2011.... anyone in Bromley who wants to gym with me let me know. xxxxxxxxxxx

Hi ladies, sounds like wednesday weigh in is the day for us! Lol. Unfortunately I'm in ireland so wouldn't be able to join the gym with anyone not unless an irish friend comes along.
Well done amberlinnie for going to the gym, hopefully if I have time tomorrow
Ill nip into the gym.

Hi Girls
I am a Thurs weigh in, have lost 8 pounds so far in 4 weeks, wish it was more as I have quite a lot to lose. My dress arrives 1st June and I have ordered it a size smaller, and was hoping it would be too big by the time it came! There is a great website type Minimins into Google. Some graet slimming world receipies and inspiration on there.
Oooh lets hope I have lost some weight tonight! x

Yippee ... we have lots of SW buddies!!

I realised (again) today why I'm marrying H2B ... he is going to join SW with me next Wednesday ... how lovely is that?

He only has a few lbs to lose and I know it's the last thing he wants to do
really, but he wants to support me. I truly believe that if he joins with me I'll be cooking on gas from now on. He will keep me on the straight and narrow and it will be so good having someone in the house who is doing the plan wholeheartedly with me. He is great with sharing the cooking at home, but he always suggests things out of packets or ready meals, it will be so good for him to understand the SW way with me! I am actually REALLY excited about it ... wish we'd joined this week now!!

So, how would you like to do this buddy thing? We could post food diaries, exercise we do, problems we are finding and of course the all important weigh in?

I'm going to be a Wednesday weigh in girl too!

All sounds good to me mrsJ2B.....although you'll prob get a lot of "I don't want up go to the gym please make me" from me!!! That's lovely of h2b joining with you. I've got the opposite with mine, I need 2 do sw without h2b noticing too much. He lifts weights 5 times a wk and boxes twice so has to eat loads-think he'd flake out if I put him on a diet!! Am loony forward to getting started but a bit worried I'm case I let myself down. Hopefully there's less chance of that now we are all here to support each other xxx

Hi ladfies, so nice to hear from you all, here's to the new wednesday weigh in club and thursday too clarus, more the merrier.

Well done mrsjtob getting your h2b along to classes too, I have to agree that support from your better half really helps. My h2b loves slimming world recipes we have them most nights and 2nds are always tempting!

How would we all feel about starting an email thread and introducing ourselves to one another? Maybe this might sound bit cheeky but I don't know how much information people are comfortable sharing on a public forum? Then from there we could keep this topic alive with weekly weigh ins, daily support, food diaries and any delish recipes! Hope I don't sound too forward

Hey Ladies.....

I just went out for a company leaving lunch......... FAR too much booze and Tapas. I think I will need to do some boxing and have a run tomorrow to help shift a few pounds.

hitchedincyprus - I agree with you. Lets get a group email going, not sure how you ladies feel about it but I think if we keep the support group relatively small we can get to know each other and offer better support?! Do tell me if you don't agree :\)

I am going to do a meal plan for the week, I will post it on here. If you see a fault or where I could change something TELL ME PLEASE... I need all the help I can get.

Cee Cee - My OH eats 5 meals a day. Just piles the food in. We go out for a meal and by the time we get home and watch the telly he is hungry again. He ends up ordering a Pizza, of course I can't say no!

This is me until Tuesday..........

Saturday Red

Breakfast – Fruit Salad with Muller light yogurt

Lunch – Jacket potato (opt B) with Tuna and Extra light mayo (1 Syn). (No butter)

Dinner – Chicken and Bacon (no skin or fat. Grilled) Mixed salad with low fat coleslaw (2 ½ Syn)

Out Saturday night but I am driving so only Diet cokes.

Sunday

Mother’s day – Total disaster.

Having people over for Afternoon Tea, fresh scones, cupcakes and Champagne.

Think a swim in the morning or maybe mini at home work out is needed.

Monday Green

Breakfast - Omelette with low fat cheese (opt A). Tomato Sauce (1 Syn)

Lunch – Beans on Toast (small brown bread opt B)

Dinner – Pesto Pasta. Wholemeal pasta, 1 pot of extra light Philadelphia (2 Syn) 1 spoon Pesto (4 Syn)

To make it a ‘bigger’ meal for OH I add lots of cooked chicken.

Tuesday Red

Breakfast – Scrambled eggs on Toast (small brown bread opt B) Tomato Sauce (1 Syn)

Lunch – Homemade Vegetable soup.
Really basic recipe. Any root veg you like with stock and blend. I sometimes add mixed pulse, butter beans etc. Good on a green day.

Dinner – Homemade Burger and Chips with Salad.
Burger: Extra Lean mince with chopped herbs, salt/pepper, bacon, red onion, little egg to mix. I put a tiny few bread crumbs in mine so I add a couple of Syns.

Cut up potato and boil for 5-10 mins. I spray a pan with fry light and add salt and pepper. Get the oven really hot, they go lovely and crispy.

Morning ladies, its Monday all over again, has to be the worst day of the week by far!
Im hoping that we can get this off to a good start this week and all keep each other motivated.

I am back on track again today after my naughty weekend where i was out for dinner twice on Sat and Sunday. However i did starve myself on both days to allow for the chinese and the Italian. lol.
So today i am going to only eat free SW foods - here will be my food diary for today

Brekkie - Bowl of creal with semi skimmed milk (Healthy option A&B)
Lunch - Ainsley Harriott Mushroom Risotto - 2 syns
Muller Light Yoghurt - Free
Dinner - Beef Casserole - Free on Extra Easy
Snacks - Satsuma & Banana later on if hungry

This week i am sure to be weighed on Tuesday, tomorrow because here in Ireland we have a holiday with St Patricks day so tomorrow is my D-Day! Hence why i plan on eating free foods for the next two days.

How is everyone else getting on?

My email button is active if anyone wants to drop me an email and maybe we could all introduce ourselves to one another and if we felt comfortable share our weights and losses etc!

Hi buddies!

Sorry been really busy recently but TODAY is the day that me and H2B join SW ... I guess I need to confess that because of this I had lunch out yesterday and then cheese and biscuits, cheesecake and wine for tea!!!!! So I am feeling VERY fat today, however that really was my last supper and I promise to stick to the plan faithfully from now on.

I am feeling much better after my op too so will be looking to start running again very soon.

Will check in later to tell you how it went at class

Can I join your group please ??

I have been in SW since June and lost 1 stone 8 lbs
starting weight 10stone 11.5 lbs
target 9stone 7lb,
currently at 9stone 3.5lbs (just outside target and need to gain 1/2 lb)

I've been at target November and my weigh in is Thursday evening so I am hoping to maintain - which I am find really difficult and I can see that the old habits are starting to come back such as bar of choc every few days and bag of crips with lunch so I need to eat more b choice's but can't find any which I really like so I am struggling a little.

I have recently started back at the gym with a new programme to get me a bikini body for the honeymoon in November!

You all seem to be eating the right stuff and I am sure you will have good losses this week. My H2B loves the food, but isn't really losing much weight - thinks he's eating naughty food at work!!!

Anyone got any nice b choice options other than eating more bread - which bloats me up really bad!!! much appreciated
