I'm an Essex bride! Getting married at our parish church which is in Colchester with a reception at Westwood Park in Great Horkesley, about 10 mins from the church.
Just under 6 months now, I get married on the 11th - eeek!

Planning's going ok, booked all the big things, bridesmaids dresses is my last big thing to order but they're very nearly picked. Waiting for a swatch of the fabric and colour to come through before I order, but I've left it a bit late according to shop, they take 6 months apparently! Oh well. Starting to print invites and additional info like maps and stuff now as quite a lot of family need hotel info so trying to get those out. My dress is due next month, it's getting close now and feeling real!
I've started a to do list with everything on so I can keep track otherwise there'll be something I forget and then end up rushing around the week before!
I had that lull a few months ago but now full steam ahead!

Nice colours!! I love silver/grey with anything - i almost went black, white & silver nut couldn't leave girly pink alone - didnt think of putting them together though for some reason?! Doh!
I don't know why I worried really. I started reading trip advisor and the reviews (DONT DO IT) and they just didnt sit well with me but as H2B has said to me now - nothing said on there would affect a wedding and some people jut can't be please whatever you do so that's put my mind at rest.
I guess I am an over the top worrier!! (blush)
Can't wait to hear how your wedding goes and get some hints and tips from you!
Have fun Sunday - can't wait! You've brightened up my week no end by telling me about this!!!

Jenny was the one to show us round first of all back in January 2009 and then Lauren took over for 2nd viewing and when we came to book etc.
I preferred Jenny on the whole but I don't know her well enough to be confident she'll be able to co-ordinate the whole day. I can only hope.
I was going to get a feel for her on the meeting 10 weeks before and if i'm not sure then i might get in one of these one dya planners for £250. In the scheme of things it might be worth it - I am over worried about everything being right given the money we're spending.
I am looking at about 80 guests for day too now - some rise from 50-60!? Oh well - u only do it once I guess!
I bought my dress on Saturday so that made everything feel very real.
The double booking is kinda bad - guess we'll just have to try and have eyes in back of our heads in the run up! lol
I am slowly realising I am the epitomie of a Bridezilla - control freakish and aggressive!! lol
What food have u gone for?? Have u had a tasting or anything?

Carlyx, Maison is getting really popular with wedding these days. I have spoken to quite a few people about Maison who have had their wedding there and spoken to some suppliers about Maison and none of them have a bad word to say about it. The shop where i got my dress from, the assistant who was helping had her wedding there last year and she said everything was perfect, just how she wanted it to be. To be honest wherever you get married, someone will always have something bad to say about it! Its really nice to find you ladies to talk about Maison and our weddings. Your colour theme sounds lovely by the way. xxx
