I don't like clubs much and wanted something where everyone can join in of all ages. Village hotels do some really good theme nights where you get food and entertainment. Farnborough and watford are the closest I can see to London (I just had a look for you). My sister in law had her hen at a Murder Mystery at the Village by us. My hen do is at one of their Boogie Nights events. They also do tribute nights like grease and dirty dancing, or tribute artists like abba, westlife. Some Village have it up on their website and others you have to call them xx

I'm having a lunch time hen do with lunch on a boat in Stratford on Avon. My neice is flower girl and I wanted her to be involved so it's very sedate. All my firends and family are coming along with their duaghters. Hopefully afterwards the weather will be good and we can sit by the river and chill for the rest of the day!

I wonder if any of you 'older brides' may be able to help me out.
I'm writing an article for a national magazine about hen parties. I'm looking for case studies of a 40+ bride and a second time bride who did more creative/alternative hen parties.

This could be anything from extreme sports like a group skydive to something more sedate like cupcake decorating or flower arranging. Whatever you did i'd really like to hear from you - you can email me at featuresresearch@googlemail.com for more info

Thanks

I am going to centre parcs for mine. I am 38 and not really into the clubbing thing anymore. This way we can go to the spa whilst there if we want to and just relax and drink coffee/wine all day and have a pyjama party on one eve too. Have a good one whatever you do x x

Hello Ladies

Just to let you know in the end had a fab time.

Had a pink limo pick up 8 of us champange was flowing, went to pricilla queen of the dessert saw Jason Donavan in his pants then on to a club off of piccadilly called tiger tiger which had an 80's disco within it.

Not everyones cup of tea and would not really recommend the food in the club but we knew all the words and dance moves to the music played!

Mine was equally brill. It was a spa weekend at Tankersley Manor in Barnsley, a local hotel for us. It was last weekend, and the weather was amazing. There were just 7 of us, my daughters, sister, niece, best friend and my 80 year old mother! Who during the dares in the evening managed to blag a free cocktail from the bar! It was the best weekend I have ever had.
