We didn't didn't really think about the day just that we wanted to get married on H2B birthday. We are coming up from norfolk to scotland -caerlaverock castle which is where the ceremony is then reception in lockerbie, quite low key only 40 people including us. Big party the following week. How are your preparations going? xx

Preperations are going well but I am soooooo indecicive, I have just bought my 2nd wedding dress, and changed my colour scheme two weeks ago argggggg lol.

How are you finding planning wedding at long distance? To me it seems like extra hard work lol. Think it'll be lovely getting married on h2b's birthday, at least he will always remember when your anniversary is. Our friends got married on hogmanay so that the husband could remember anniversarys haha.

My goodness...you haven't seen your venue...arggggg, I feel the stress for you!!!!!!!!!! You are such a brave woman lol. If you haven't been in Scotland what made you decide to get married up here? (just curious)

Awww an old schoolfriend of mine is having teal too, I think it looks stunning. Our colours are now gold and ivory with a tiny splash of red...we are also having loads of draped ivy through all our flowers (down pedistals in the church etc.)

Scotland hmm, well we started to tot up figures for getting married at home ouch it was expensive to say the least in fact it would mean we would of had to put it off to 2011. We couldn't go abroad even though we would of liked to (my MOH got married in cuba and it was fantastic) but my Dad has never flown and i dont think at 62 its fair to start now. So in a moment of boredom at work put in gretna green, and there are loads of venues and packages you can chose, this includes venue, some accomodation, flowers, photography, minister fees etc etc, we saw a castle on there calaverock and its just lovely really grand and very romantic (its got no roof though its a ruin) so if it rains we get wet! and so we had a long think and thought sod it. Asked our parents they said whatever makes us happy. So we booked it, I think i will feel more at ease and possibly more excited when we go up and easter but the planning with venue etc will all happen then, im lucky im quite an organised persons so i have lists of lists. So 40 closet friends are family are making the trip us to be with us , we having a quiet meal upstairs.

Flowers sound lovely especially as autumn time.
Are you having many brodesmaids, you had many stresses yet?
xx

I do agree it seems to be cheaper to get married in Scotland (from what I've seen in magazines) it's great that your family and closest friends are willing to take that trip with you...it'll also give you and h2b a special place to visit in years to come.

I'm having 3 bm's, my two little cousins who will be 13 by then and one of my friends. I have had a few stresses over changing colour scheme, changing my dress and bm refusing to admit/accpept what size she is, making it impossible to buy her dress. Think there may be more to come though as she doesn't seem to have taken the hint that her son is not invited (sent out save the date cards and his name was not on it, maybe it's been tooo subtle) How are you doing? How many bm's? Any stresses or nightmares?
