24th July Ladies - 150 days to go!!! :D

can't believe it's 5 months from today and 150 days until the big day!


Going to buy some ribbon tonight for the invitations. Next big things to do are:

my little sisters bridemaid dress
flowers!
cake
Remind hubby-to-be to sort suits for him and the ushers
favours
my jewellery
bridesmaid jewellry
prezzies for bridesmaids

plus about a million other things!

Anyone else yet to sort flowers?

Yay! 150 days!
My dress and wedding ring both arrived today!

I have a meeting mith my florist on Tuesday as plans have changed since I last saw her!
I think *think* we're pretty much on track.
The men have to go and be measured up, I need to finalise guest list and get invites sorted!
Not too bad but I am starting to panic!
Have so much else going on so it all needs to take a turn.
What sort of flowers are you going for?

Yip - 150 days to go - not long now!

We're only having a small intimate wedding (9 in total).

I got my niece (aged 5) her flowergirl dress last week. Oh! how cute did she look. She, like me is also in ivory. Her dress is from Debenhams and has pearls on the bodice and the net skirt has little diamantes sprinkled through it. I also got her an ivory bolero cardigan with pearly detail. Getting her hairband and shoes nearer the time.

Things still to do/buy:

H2B and best man's suits & ties
order cake (from M&S)
Make invitations & menus (still to be decided)
Finish favour boxes
Buy gifts for my niece and best man
Buy special underwear

Our colours are ivory, chocolate brown and baby pink.

My flowers are ivory and pink roses.

Nearly into March - yikes. People said this year would fly by and you know what - they are darn right.

I'm so glad that it's not just me that has invites to get sorted!
I must admit I do panic a bit when I see people on here who are getting married in November and have already sent theirs out! I personally think it's a bit too soon!
Ideally, I'd like mine out end of March/beginning of April.

How many are you inviting to your wedding?

I know I've only four invitations to make but it's still tricky. I'm having a cream card and embossing the words "Our Wedding" up the lefthand side on the front next to the fold. On the righthand side of the card coming down from the top I have milk chocolate ribbon with baby pink ribbon coming down the middle. Inside where the two pieces join I'm using small gold stick on butterflies as this is also part of our theme. We then have to get the correct colour of paper for the inserts and H2b will print these on the PC in brown font. Hope you can visualise it.

MrsL 2 B, at the moment it's looking like 140 guests.
It's so many but we both have large families and I have lots of close friends.
Our colour scheme is pale pink, sage green and ivory/cream.
Your invites sound lovely!
I'll be honest and I'm seriously considering biting the bullet and getting the professionals in to do them. Or at least getting them from ebay or vistaprint!
I really don't know if I'll have time to make so many with everything else going on.

Oh good, more 24th July-ers who haven't finished the invitations yet!

I want to get ours out by the end of April. All the card etc is down at H2B's parents' in Herts, I'll be making them up while we're down there at Easter for my hair and makeup trial. At the moment I'm working on the information for the inserts. We're having around 80 guests, I think it should work out about 45-50 invitations to do.

My invitations are out as I need replies by 1st May as we have to give final numbers 10 weeks before! That's so early, I can't believe it!
Going to sort my daughters dresses out tomorrow, my grandaughters dresses are here from USA (they are beautiful & such a bargain!) almost everything done now.

We are getting married July 24th too and I am glad I am the not the only one with an OH who hasnt sorted his suit yet! His only job and its still not sorted. Typical!

Oh and JoJo. I got 75 personalised invitations from ebay for £45 and they are absolutely gorgeous!

Your colour scheme is only one colour away from ours!

If you want to make your invitations why not call in some help from either your family or friends. Maybe invite them round for a girlie night. If you can get ten people then give them 14 invites to do. Failing that I would try e-bay first and if all fails leave it to the professionals.

hey girls another 24ther here! Anyone else really getting nervous as the clock is ticking away?

I have my first dress fitting tomorrow, as I bought mine from abroad and it needs altering considerablyon the chest area so need to check it could actually be altered - I think they thought my boobs were actually each the size of my head!!

We aimed to have our invites out end of Jan, but my friend who is designing them is being a pain so I've told him design must be finished by the end of this week else I'm sending them out on the back of a cut out bit of newspaper lol!

I have everything to do really really worrying! x

hey ladies

i've not ordered my invites yet - i've chosen them though. Our colour scheme is cream and navy. Ordering them in about 2 weeks and then asking for replys by 1st June - gives me plenty of time to chase people.

I've got most things sorted. I found a package for all of my decorations, linen and flowers so that was sorted really quickly in about one meeting. I'm looking forward to going back to confirm though.

Really lucky as h2b is getting married in uniform so he let me have a say in the suits etc - keeping it all very simple. Everything is booked.

I want something else to do haha

I have most things sorted now and sent out my invites about a week ago...i have had about 10 replies so far...so all good.
Next jobs are:
order of services
menu cards
flower girl dress....etc - however having a bit of a mission getting her to want to do it.

The suits are sorted, and had my first dress fitting a couple of weeks ago...dont need to go back till i pick it up now.
However I have plenty of other things to do as i may be moving house and jobs in the summer as well...hehe!
If you are wondering why i sent my invites out so early it is because the 24th is the first day of the school summer holidays and a lot of my friends have children or work in schools and go away as soon as we break up.
