Hi girls,

Can't believe I forgot Month 6 had started...oppps.

Anyway I caught up on all your posts and first thing I though was how well everyone is doing and how motivated we all are at the moment. I think it's going to be a good month all around.

NJ you were super busy in the house the other day - you must have been exhausted by the evening!! I feel the same about having a clean home - it really makes me feel more peaceful.

Winewoman a 1lb gain is perfectly fine and as NJ says it well worth it for the weekend you had. You will lose again quickly.

Katy curly wurly's are great and only 2pts I think (will have to double check). Taste delicious and so much more filling and tasty than say a dairy milk which is a whole 6pts!! Your photoshoot will be a great motivator for you...

I agree about the activia - they are yum. Also the fruit - I buy on Monday normally and keep things like grape in the fridge. My apples last well on the counter (especially given the heat in our place within out ac on during the day) but bananas go off in a day or two (I don't like them over ripe). Things like berries are too expensive here and don't taste right so I tend not to buy those. I do love the tinned peaches and pears because you can't get nice fresh ones here so they are a good alternative. I buy the light ones which are 100cals (about 1.5pts) and ensure I drain all the syrup (I can't find any on island with natural juices!!) Not ideal but they work for me. I also love raisins and get the 100cal boxes of those for snacking - they are 2pts though as more sugars and stuff in them (i think!). See how you get on with it. I find the days where I am less hungry are those where I really go concentrate on the filling foods thing. Other days I can be on track points wise but know it's not being the filling foods because I feel hungry.

Ended up being off ill yesterday. Worked late on Tue evening and felt bit odd in the evening so just sat and watched tv while h2b cooked and tended to me (lovely man!) unfortunately I still threw up in the middle of the night and tons the next morning/early afternoon (sorry if tmi!!) Eventually felt better towards 5pm. Were suppose to have salmon but couldn't face it so h2b bought sausages and we had those. Bad but I wanted stodge if you know what I mean. Feeling okay today but not 100% and having had a day off work I am now feeling a bit stressed out about everything I need to do (doing well in ignoring it so far and typing on here instead!!). All I could think while going between bed and bathroom most of yesterday was "is this what NJ had to put up with for months?!!?" I don't know how you coped - I really don't.

Anyway diaries

Tuesday
B - banana
L - 3 slices of wholegrain toast with 2 light cheese triangles
D - steak, carrots, califlower and broccoli and a piece of bread
S - apple
D - 1 green tea, 2ltrs of water
E - none due to feeling ill

Wednesday
B - none
L - 1 slice of wholegrain toast about 5pm
D - 2 sausages (grilled on george foreman), baked beans and portion of mashed potato
S - cupcake (h2b brought me from store - told you I wanted stodge!), 100cal tin of peaches (was pecking all evening!!)
D - about 1ltr of water
E - none

Just wanted to add that even though there are a few "gains" on that post don't become disheartened. Everyone's diaries this week have been looking great, and as I said before we all seem really motivated. We are going really well and I am sure we will all have a great March

Ah Zoe! I shouldn't worry I think we were all plodding along nicely didn't even realise there was a new month facing us. Plus you work your ass off and you've been poorly bubs, hope you feel 100% soon. I was never actually sick that much, if I was sick it was caused by brushing my teeth. Its a different kind of sick feeling too, hard to explain. You have had it rough you poor soldier, must have picked up a bug or something from somewhere?

Good to hear from you though chick, I was wondering where you were.

Take care

P.S. another beautiful day here in sunny Hampshire, love spring weather

Hi ladies!

Yay - fresh new thread! Thanks for doing the results Zoe, especially when you've not been well. Glad you're feeling better now and I hope its not too hectic when you back to work!

I had my make up trial today.... I'm getting a wee bit fed up of having trials and not being very impressed! I'm starting to get the impression that I'm just far too fussy!! I should have stuck to my guns about doing it all myself but I caved and ended up paying this woman a deposit! Nevermind - I can always tweek the make up myself if I need to on the day,

Food diary...
B - sultana bran
L - muller corner
S - slice of toast
D - chicken omellete, 1 slice of h2bs pizza.
E - 2 long walks & 1 short walk with dogs
D - 1.5L water, 2 green teas, 1 decaf tea

Hope you're all well

Happy Friday girls :\)

I am feeling a lot better today - just a bit tired and not quite 100%. It must have been a bug or something right enough. Means I have done no real exercise this week but on the plus side I have been good with my points and haven't went over once and was even under a few the past two days. So I am still hopefully for Monday! Next week and half will be pretty bad for me. Got group coming down (clients that is) so I am out to dinner Sun, Mon and Tue with them. Not sure if fixed meals or if I will get to choose my own food so not sure how to work the points those days. I'll probably eat a lot less than normal just from nerves!! Then the following Mon I am out to dinner again with another client and then their meeting is on Tue all day. Can't wait for them to be over if I am honest - it's not a part of my job I particularly like!!

Anyhow enough of my moaning...NJ glad you have some nice spring weather. It's not before time!!! Hope that is the last of the snow and bitter cold. Alieen it sucks that you weren't 100% happy with your trial...hopefully on the day they will get it just right for you.

Diary for yesterday
B - raisins
L - wholewheat pitta with tuna and cucumber, 10cal jello
D - lamb, rice, carrots, califlower and broccoli, 10cal jello
S - sugar-free ice-lolly, another packet of raisins
D - 2ltrs of water, glass of skim milk
E - nothing. Worked until 7 then I just couldn't be bothered to be honest. Not worrying too much but will obviously have to get back into it again. I was going well with it last week so need to keep that up!

Hello ladies

Oh Aileen, whats wrong with these people, although I have to say, it has been on very rare occassions that a make up lady has done my make up the way I like it, only when I have really spoken up (I don't tend to like to make a fuss or say anything for the risk of appearing difficult or diva like) but with modelling and stuff I had to, it came down to whether I get picked for work or not. Its like they don't seem to have a sense of what colours actually suit you, or the need to introduce too much colour when actually just applying make up but with natural tones can be really beautiful, can you pin point what you weren't happy with, was it too much colour, not enough, a technique she used etc? It could be that you could call her and say I have been thinking, I hope you don't mind but I would like to tweek it with this that and the other, if you are paying for it sweetie its got to be right, you have to feel 100% about it on your really really special day.

Zoe, glad you are feeling better, maybe be back to normal next week. Thats a lot of socialising with people that you wouldn't really choose to spend time with eh! I am sure it will all be fine but I do empathise with you. Fingers crossed the menu selection wont cause you too many problems, last thing you need is to be worrying about that.

We did wake up to minus 4 this morning and frost everywhere, so cold today but it has warmed up and turned into a bright sunny day, very fresh, its lovely and amazing how the sunshine picks up your spirits. Although I am still battling a bit with mine, had a crying session last night with OH he has hardly been around this week, I have worked my butt off at work and at home and then was apparantly the only one who needed to eat last night with barely anything in and I just felt really unimportant. Rob did feel bad and gave me a cuddle, said he didn't like seeing me like it and went to the shop and cooked dinner. But it has kind of carried on in to work, really stressy this morning, wish things didn't get to me, but half my problem is that I don't care and that feeling is hidden from the likes of your boss and people you have to answer to isn't it. When I am saying "yes of course, no problem, I'll do that", I want to shout "NO, EFF OFF, I don't care about this rubbish, it holds no importance in my life other than paying for the roof over my head", OMG can you imagine what therapy that would be. On a plus note, maternity leave is all confirmed and clarified for Friday 28th May, whoop whoop, light at end of tunnel, I need to remember this when I start to feel my blood boil, its the means to an end.

I really hope you don't mind me rabbiting on about myself, I don't want to seem self obsessed which is quite possible, sorry if that is the case. I feel extremely lucky to have this place in which to do it though and hope you all know you can do it with me whenever.

I am planning on carrying on with sorting out baby room and baby stuff, cleaning it etc but other than that I don't really want to do much else other than time with my boys. What are you all upto this weekend?

Hi all!

Zoe - so glad you're feeling better today. But I feel so sorry for you having to have dinner with these clients, not knowing them or what the foods going to be like and being nervous. You do so well to cope with your crazy hectic work life hunny and to top it all off you're doing incredibly well with your WW points. A massive pat on the back to you - i swear all of this will pay off for you before long xxx

NJ - I'm sending you those virtual hugs again, hate to hear you've been upset again. Never appologise for rabbiting on! Thats what we're all here for and we all have our fair share of rabbiting when we need to! You're right, this forum is a godsend for de-stressing. Cling on to your countdown - its 12 weeks today till your maternity leave starts and those weeks will fly by, with every friday that comes and goes you'll know youre a week closer to freedom. Today is the "10 weeks to go" mark for us with the wedding so I'm expecting the same feeling of "oh %&*$# where has the time gone!!!"
With all your experience with make up artists can you tell me if you think she would be happy to use my own foundation on me, and maybe my primer too? I know I really have to speak to her about it but I thought you might have some insight? She did a great job with the foundation, blusher etc but by dinner time my face was REALLY shiny. She used MAC foundation and primer but I've heard that its not the best for oily skin and I've spent a long time trying to find the best product for my skin. I use Clarins Matifying foundation which is great and stays matt all day so I'd rather use that. Other than that my only real issue with what she did yesterday was the eye makeup. She did a "smokey" effect which to be fair is what I asked for. But it didnt look the way I'd hoped for and it made my eyes look really small (h2b said I looked like a "half shut knife" !!!) So today I had a shot at doing my own eye make up in nude shades to try to make my eyes look bigger and more awake! And WOW - much better!!! I really should have thought about this before the trial but you live and learn!!

Nothing exciting planned for the weekend - was supposed to be at a 21st birthday party tonight but cant afford to go (grrrrr!) and was supposed to be meeting our photographer on sunday but I got called in to work last minute (YAY!! more money!!) so have rescheduled the meeting to wednesday evening next week.

Food diary for today....
B - sultana bran
L - blueberry muffin (very very bad but h2b bought them knowing full well I cant resist!!)
D - Breaded cod fillet, mixed veg, salad
S - muller corner
D - 1 cup green tea, 2 cups decaf, 1.5L water
E - 5km run, 15mins toning, 2 long & 1 short walks with dogs

How are Katy and Winewoman doing? Not heard from you girls on the new thread yet Hope your all well.

Aileen xx xx

Hi girls hope everyone is having a nice weekend!!
Aileen- I'm sure your make up lady will use your foundation if you ask her- at the end of the day you're paying so even if it takes a bit of tinkering on the day make sure you get it right !! TBH my make up woman didnt do what I asked her to do with my hair at all (despite telling her after the trial) luckily it did look lovely and lasted all day and probably was better than my orginal idea but still,,,,,,,,,,,, lol! Its getting really close for you now enjoy every second of the planning and trust me no matter how much time you think you've got the day before you'll probably end up like a blue arsed fly racing around lol- I wish I could have taken it all a bit more slowly and savoured my last day as a miss but there was soooo much to do lol x

Zoe- sorry to hear you've been poorly its horrible feeling off colour and not yourself- you work so hard its no wonder you get run down!!

NJ- hope you're feeling better hun! I've been going through a really weepy stage at the minute hubby asks what's wrong and all I can say is "I dont know" lol! Like you I'm hanging out for maternity leave! I've got 3 weeks holiday I need to take as well so I finish the same time you do- roll on May 28th lol I'm getting a bit uncomfy now think baby has its feet wedged in my ribs and sitting down at work for long stretches isnt fun!

We bought our pram last week (got it £20 cheaper off ebay from a baby discount shop) and luckily a friend has offered us their maxi cosi car seat which is £100 we wont have to spend!! I'm going baby bargain crazy- btw Asda have their own newborn nappies £1 for 48!! I've been told they're just like huggies so worth a shot at that price!!

Baby is kicking and moving loooooads now which is weird but lovely at the same time!!

I come back from time to time to check up on how you're doing ! Zoe you WILL reach your target!! One thing I found on WW was that having cherry tomatoes on hand helped for snacking (zero points : ) ) and bulking out meals with extra extra salad and veg with low fat dresssings to help fill you up! I've gained one and a half stone so far which is actually more than the reccomended but I've been unbelievably hungry and I've been eating healthily so not too worried just yet- I'll be back in the final stretch to your wedding Zoe getting back in shape lol I'm keeping up light excercise walking and using my excercise bike to keep my fitness up!

lots of love

Hi all!

Michelle - I'm so glad you ended up with a look that you loved on your wedding day....even if its not exactly what you'd asked for!!!! I'm sure you're right that the makeup lady will use my foundation etc - thinking about it surely she'd rather use mine and not have to use up any of her cosmetics!
Sorry to hear you've been feeliing upset too - not knowing why you're upset and not being able to explain it is awful. Can't believe you and NJ start maternity leave on the same date - we're going to have a "28th May countdown club" on here!!!

Food diary...
B - 1 slice of toast
L - small bag of grapes, thin (like rediculously thin) slcie of canteloupe melon (I was at work and they have these tiny fruit portions made up for the kids!), sultana bran
D - small poached chicken breast, 2 aunt bessies mini yorkshire puds, peas and corn (yum yum yum yum best dinner I've had in ages!!! Its well seen I worked up an apetite today!!)
S - muller corner
D - 2 cups decaf tea, 2.5L water
E - 3 hour biking session, 3 hour climing session (not climbing constantly for 3 hours - just setting up climbs, demonstrating for the kids, jumping up and down off a 4 ft platform all afternoon!), 1 long walk with dogs.

Hope you're having a lovely weekend everyone.

Hello Aileen

Well done for coming on here at the weekend!

About your make up lady, I have to admit to being a huge fan of MAC but as you say its not going to be right for all skin types and if you have found a foundation that works for you skin type I would highly recommend you speak to the make up lady and tell her exactly what you have told me, she did a really good job, you where happy with how it looked but it didn't last, you skin got shiny and because you have oily skin you have hunted and hunted and finally found a primer and foundation you like that stays matt allday, she should be happy with this, if not then she is silly, she should know how important these things are to brides to be. 10 weeks wow!! Its coming around hun! So exciting. Yes exactly, the moment I start getting down about work, I just remind myself, just get through it, its a means to an end and I seem to be coping much better.

Hey Miche, wow, kicking in the ribs already, baby doesn't usually turn on its head till much later!! I still have tons of really low movement, kicks in the hips usually and also feels like he is going to kick his way out of you know where. only yesterday did I start to feel things a little higher say around tummy button height. Uterus at 24 weeks is only just starting to grow past the belly button so more likely to be punches than kicks. Glad you got your pram sorted, not sure when exactly we will be ordering our but its the next thing on the list so to speak. Baby room is now pretty much sorted, just decorative stuff to do now. Finished washing all the clothes and bedding which is a relief. Need to get a few bits of clothes but not masses, just a few vests and one or two cute outfits. Got tons of sleepsuits, sock and mitts coming out of our ears.

Just loving the weather, I know its still really cold but the sun just makes me get really excited about summer, having the baby, getting out for walks, pub evenings, BBQs enjoying the basics of life. Hung out washing on the line and it actually dried I was shocked.

Anyway, just wanted to pop on. Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend.

Hey ladies, hope you're all having a good weekend! I've gone on slim fast for the next two weeks before this silly photoshoot!! Its such a fad diet but I think for two weeks it'll be ok! Got wii fit plus yesterday, its sooo good. Only been on it for about 10 mins so far but the cycling bit is very weird but also kinda cool.

Also, I bought my wedding dress today! Ahhhh so exciting. We went, on a whim, to a sample sale being held at my reception hotel and found one, fell in love and bought it!! It was originally £980 and I got it for £250. It does need a clean but its not very dirty and in perfect condition. Saw one there that had pen marks on it! So not good!!

But here's my dress,

Hi!!

Katy - WOW - beautiful dress and an AMAZING bargain! Well done you! You've now got 2 massive bits of motivation, the photoshoot and the dress. I had my dress in the spare wardrobe since last January and it was fantastic motivation. I'd set my self mini-goals, like I wouldnt let myself even take the dress out the bag until I'd lost X number of pounds, and couldnt try it on until I'd reached X weight...sounds stupid but it worked! Your dress really is stunning honey, so feminine and elegant - you're going to look $1million!

NJ - thanks so much for your views on the makeup lady issue. I'm to phone her when my veil etc arrives to arrange a hair trial and I'll speak to her about the make up then.
The weather has been fab here too. I was at work today (very lucky to be working outdoors in this weather) and I actually felt like my nose was getting a wee bit sunburnt at one point (I have very fair skin!!) I love the weather when its like that - roll on summer time!

Heres my food diary...
B - half a cup of rice crispies
L - a few grapes, mini muller light (dont know where work gets these muller lights, the muller lights I get from Tesco are really big compared to "normal" yoghurts but the ones at work are much smaller), sultana bran
S - Slice of toast
D - poached chicken breast, mixed veg, salad
S - muller corner
D - 2 cups decaf tea, 1 cup green tea, 2L water
E - 5km run, demo of 12 or so obstacles on assault course, walking around all afternoon chasing up kids doing orienteering!! 1 long walk with dogs

Well I hope you've had a great weekend. Speak to you all after weighing in tomorrow....

xx xx
