Our budget was £10k, but that was before we sat down and did a proper budget planner etc. We worked out that we could have what we wanted for £11.5k. So far we on budget i think. We have gone over with a couple of things but then something have been less than we budgeted. This isnt including our honeymoon though.
Ours was 5k originally but got it under 4.5k and hoping to have the final budget under 4.1k. However this doesn't include the honeymoon which is just over 3k. So not that different to what we're spending on the wedding but we get to enjoy it for 2 weeks!
Our budget is 4500, we came in just under 4 but after alterations and having my mums outfit made and all the little extras we have come in just under budget, thats not including honeymoon but my parents are coming with us so we all grouped in!
xx
Our budget was 15k but realised we wanted a small wedding with a massive party in the evening so......gone down to 8k ...but I love being DIY so hoping to do it under 5k not including honeymoon which we will probably do on last minute x
Our budget is currently £12k including honeymoon. I will try my very best to stick to this but have never budgeted for anything (and stuck to it) in my life!
I do hope to pick up all the bargains but I am just not very good at coming across them : (
I'm finding it really hard at the moment to find where to stop! How much is too much? I am determined to do it for 12k or less as I don't want us to be absolutely broke for a year after we're married. We are pretty much self funding this wedding, although luckily my mum is buying my dress and H2B parents "will help". We are asking that if people do wish to buy us anything then we would prefer money to go on our honeymoon with.
oh my god my buget is 10k and now im panicking because all of you are saying it started at this then ended up going up a few grand! :-O
oh thats including honeymoon and thats a whopping 3k so i think im doing ok
xxxx
I hope to keep it around 6k (not including honeymoon cause h2b is going to pay himself a big bonus as a treat for us for all the stress over the past couple of years in setting up his company and we are going to go mad on it for the honeymoon).
We are paying for it ourselves as well so I don't feel too strict about it as its our money anyway. It's not so bad, saving 3 grand each over the course of a year, hope it will put us on the right track for saving in general once we are maried.
We didn't really have one, but trying to do as cheap as poss as nice as poss, so now hoping to keep to £8000 or as near as we can and honeymoon approx £2000. Trouble is over the last year other half was made redundant and has since retrained and started up a new business and next year we want to start a family so the less we spend the better while still having what we want.
Our biggest outlay is food for day guests, but whole reception 85 in day and 100 in evening with drinks is £4500 which is pretty good.
