9th October Brides!!!

Hi Ladies - correct me if I am wrong but I dont think I have seen a thread for us yet??!!

Anybody else out there getting married on 9th October?! I am and I dont feel like I have done much planning yet!

So far we have booked the church and the venue and decided on a Deep Purple and Ivory colour scheme.

I have chosen my dress and am going to order it on 20th March and taking the bridesmaids to try some on!

My H2B hasnt even chosen his best man yet!!

Would be great to hear where you are all up to and share our planning together!!

So far we have...
Booked the registry office
Booked the reception venue
Booked the honeymoon
Ordered my shoes!
Chosen my dress (I am making it, pattern arrived yesterday morning)
Chosen 1 of the 5 bridesmaid dresses
Booked our photographer
Decided on colour scheme/ what we want for decor etc.
My mum has bought us a cake stand!
We are going to see a lady about a cake tomorrow - I am looking forward to tasting the samples

It seems alot now its written down! We only set a date a month ago so everythings going quite quickly now!

I'm excited I've found a date twin! Your colour scheme sounds lovely, very luxurious!

Wow you sound very organised!!! We only booked the date a month ago too!!! We chose the venue on Valentines Day and booked it on 16th Feb! Where are you going for your honeymoon? What colour scheme are you having??

Cake (family friend making it)

Colour scheme chosen (plum)
Florist/venue decoration
Groom's party suit colour chosen
Wedding party gift's chosen (not yet bought)
Chair covers booked
Make up artist booked
Hair booked

Got to get:
BM's dresses
Paige boy's and flower girl outfit's
rings
DJ
Stationary
Bridal accessories

I'm sure there are other things but probably niggly little details. I wanted to get all the big things booked and out of the way, with 2 children it's hard to get time to do things.

Mmmm the cake tasting session, we tried some lovely cup cakes at a wedding fayre last month, they were devine.xx

We have chosen our wedding party i.e MOH, bridesmaids, best man and usher) and our colour scheme.

I'm currently stressing about the entertainment and chair covers! haha
I'm just very excited to be getting married.

Hi guys,

everyone seems to be pretty organised!

I had my cake-tasting session yesterday, and I must say they were very yummy! We have chosen our design - we have taken a few different elements from some of her previous designs and moulded them to suit us. Just need to choose which of the flavours to have! we are having each of the 3 tiers in a different flavour so should be something to suit everyone.

KarenW2B - we are honeymoon-ing in Whitby, North Yorkshire. We live on the south coast so it is quite a trip for us! We are going back to stay in the cottage where we got engaged.

Where is everyone else going on honeymoon?

Allen2b that sounds very romantic, were not having a honeymoon as difficult with 2 children. We have to go away in the school holidays now anayway as my daughter started school last year. Don't really mind though as we are going to try and have a long weekend away without the children at some point after the wedding. My h2b is from Southampton and all his relatives still live there, so we do a 5 hour journey quite regularly to see them so i know what you mean about it being a long trip.xx

Allen2B - Could you tell me about the cottage that you are staying at in Yorkshire or give me a link?? I am currently looking for a 3night getaway for after the wedding and dont know where to start!!

The company that rents it out has loads of holiday cottages on their website in and around Whitby, so worth having a browse. The people there are very helpful and friendly.

im getting married to on the 9th in Antigua and so far only booked the wedding. perhaps i need to pull my finger out ha ha !!

Getting married in Preston, Bartle Hall.

Withatwist, where in Southampton are you getting married? Know it's a big place but my h2b is originally from Chandlers Ford and his family now live in Eastleigh and New Alresford.

h2b also hasnt chosen best man, he has a lot of close friends so wants to have a best clan!!
