Which would be the most flattering for the most body shapes? I'm very busty so would avoid anything slash necked, the sweetheart corset might be the safest to go for.

I had a slash neck dress and I LOVE this style. I have fairly decent sized boobage but found this style surprisingly flattering - probably because I actually have quite a bony ribby chest with big bazoombas stuck on it, which looks better covered up! Agree though that sweetheart is likely to be a more popular style. Don't abandon the slash neck for good though pleeeeeeeeeeeease!!!

I also love the slash neckline but because I'm quite busty and can't carry it off I think I subconsciously discount that option!

Did you ever try on a slash neck gemmylou? If you've not tried one, you should give it a go. I was really surprised that it flattered me as I am not skinny and far from flat-chested. I tried on a variety of necklines at Candy Anthony and they advised that they thought the slash neck style (the 'Rachel' dress) was most flattering, and I agreed with them. I was really surprised as it goes against all the Trinny & Susannah advice!!!

I LOVE all 1950's dresses - am getting married in a VOH white cotton swing dress which has a sweetheart halterneck. I am small chested and it is flattering to me too creating the illusion of a bust
However, I think they Audrey style slashneck is gorgeous too.
Grangebex you are such a creative and talented lady (I've seen various of your pics on here) and I wish you all the very best with your line, I'm sure they'll be beautiful

I am biased as my dress will be a slash neckline and I have big boobies, however to accentuate both bust and waist I will be having a seem under the bust.

I would either do the slash or sweetheart first.

Yes the seam under the bust is the key thing! I wish I could design and make dresses - I'm doing a dressmaking course at the moment and it's sooooo hard, I've been making a super-basic tunic top for about 2 months now, I'm hopeless (but still trying)!

I did try one and it made me look really "boxy" unfortunately I think the fact that I'm only just over 5 foot doesn't help, I haven't got the height to pull some things off, unfortunately!!

Let us know when you launch the line - I'm after a 50s style dress for my wedding next year.

Not sure - probably small cap sleeves, v neck line - slash necks don't suit me. and big full skirt. Colour wise, I'd love a black dress with a white plks dot overlay - so i'd have a ddress for the wedding and without the overlay, a dress for other occasions. That's my current thinking anyway.
