Subject: Weight loss without weigh ins!
I am so happy today!!! I have been eating really healthily & doing slightly more exercise recently in an effort to tone up & lose a few pounds for my wedding. I wasn't calorie counting & refused to weigh myself to avoid being disappointed. Today I tried on my wedding dress which in november was quite tight & today it was quite loose on my waist & gaping at the back. It just goes to show making positive changes to your lifestyle works far better than telling yourself it is a diet or putting pressure on yourself to reach goals in terms of stones or pounds. I'm not saying it would work for everyone but I don't feel as though I'm denying myself food as I'll have whatever I like just not too much of it. I have tried numerous diets & have always based it on calorie counting which has had limited success. I just thought I'd share my thoughts with any ladies feeling under pressure or anyone not having much success with conventional dieting.

Thanks hun.Glad you have seen results without feeling like you've suffered. I too am going down the healthier eating route and walk home from work every day which is half an hour. If I don't lose much, I'll up my exercise but I only want to shift a bit so starting small. I couldn't go down the major diet/gym route-I just know I wouldn't last! x

I think that is completely the right attitude to have. I have dieted a lot in the past & my weight has gone up & down but now I know I'm setting myself up for a fall simply by calling it a diet. I realise there are foods I can't live without eating so I'd never be able to keep a strict diet up forever.

Well done you, this is such a great story and I wish I trusted myself to do this too.

My problem is I have a LOT to lose (at least 3st but I would love to lose 3.5st-4st to be 'well buff' on the day) and I just don't know if this would happen if I lost control. Although it's not really happening now either .. ha, ha xx
