Subject: what's happened to your wedding dress?
Last Feb after the day, I got it dry cleaned and the dress shop folded it properly with tissue paper etc and placed it in a pretty storage box. And there it's been sat for 12 months in the spare room.

Just wondering what's happened to all your dresses that you spent so many hundred (and thousands!) of pounds on?? Do you ever try it on again? Have you sold it? Should I be taking it out of the box every so once in a while and letting it hang to get any creases out? I don't think I'd ever manage to fold it back up again...

Not sure I want to sell it, but I never get to see it

It is sad istn it!
Mine has been on our Trash the Dress shoot and been in the sea, then it came home, was cleaned and is now hanging in a dress bag on my wardrobe door, where it has been for nearly 3 months now! Need to get a proper storage box to put it in.
Not sure if I want to sell or keep! But its funny to think we search for the perfect dress, only to put it away after the day never to be seen again!

Oh no I think you should do a trash the dress shoot for your anniversary Mrs Harrison!!! Would mean you get to wear it again, which is always a good thing

I keep telling the girls in the office that when enough of them have got married, we should all have a wedding dress Friday or something!!
Just seems sad I'll never get to wear it again. The dress shop said it wasn't the sort of material you could dye either, so it's not like I could use it as a posh dress at a posh party either.

thinking about it i really would like to but not sure hubby would be up for that. my brother and his GF are photographers so i could have it done for free too.... not sure, might do a bit of research on where we could do it etc... and see what he thinks.

awww, just remembered something hubby said to me a few days after the wedding. he said on every anniversary i could wear the dress again and we could do our 1st dance, dance (we had one choreographed) - what a sweetie! lol

i dont know what to do with my dress. Luckily mine is dark red so i could probably get away with wearing it for a posh occasion but i dont know when i would be invited to one!

I get to wear mine again thought because we are having a party tomorrow to celebrate with everyone.

I was thinking I might just say to hell with it and get it out of the box and wear it again, just swoosh around the house a bit in it But d'you know it's just occurred to me that I'm not even sure it would even fit me anymore! I've lost 2 stone since I got married (deliberately!) and I remember when I went for my last fitting the lady had said I could put on a bit of weight but I wasn't to lose any!
So maybe it might just hang on me?

Am starting to wonder if I might sell it ... we've been doing a lot of clearing old stuff out lately so I guess I'm in a 'clear the space/make money' mood at the moment ... hmmm.

It's still at my mum's house, in need of dry cleaning! I feel really bad I've not sorted it in the last 10 weeks, but every time I think I'll get it this weekend and take it the shop it flipping snows!

Am not sure what to do with it going forward. Part of my thinks I should sell it, and my veil, as I'll never wear them again. We are expecting a baby in September and every penny will helps, but don't know if I can let go so soon......ah, decisions! Suppose I should see how it dry cleans first lol!

Mine only arrived at my house a few weeks ago (got married in March) as my paretns were sorting out the cleaning.

Its is a gorgoeus (but big) box in my wardrobe.

I'm going to keep it but I have some sad hope that my future daughter / daughter in law may want to wear it as I think it is quite a timeless design. If not, it wouldn't bother me - I'll be buried in it instead lol!

Mine is sitll hung in it's bag as it was from being taken off at the end of the day!

I feel guilty for not doing anything with it but was quoted £200 for cleaning, and not sure I can afford that when it will just go back in the box and not used again. I tried advertising it online for sale but got no response sadly.

Our year anniversary is creeping and the dress is still taking up half my wardrobe so I guess I better get something sorted for then! lol
