10th Sept ladies - i can't see our posts properly!!

I can only see up to page 11 on our section and it's driving me nuts - is anyone having the same problem? I know there are more posts as i read them before the website changed and i've posted since then myself and can't see that either! This new layout is horrible and where has the countdown gone - that used to make me smile everytime i logged on. xxx

I thought it was just lil old me who was having probelms!!!!! Aaaaaarrggghhhh.... First of all my log on buggered up and it took me a week to sort out with the webmaster people!!! Then when I finally got to log in I hated the new site and couldn't find yers!!!! And when I did I couldn't see the flipping posts!!! I really don't like this new site, I honestly loved coming on before now it's not very exciting and your damn right NO COUNTDOWN!!!! WE LIVE FOR OUR COUNTDOWN!!!

Thank goodness MrsJefferies2be, thought i'd completely lost you all! I had the same problem with my log-in and ended up having to set up a new one under h2b's email address - stupid thing. I can't believe they've changed it all. There are so many complaints. I too used to look forward to going on here but it's now seeming like hard work. Plus all our posts from page 11 onwards seem to be lost forever - gutted.

Well i am okay thanks hun. Had a lovely Easter weekend and finally very nearly finished all the day and night invites!!! Only need to add the info section in and then they're done! It's such a relief. Have you started yours yet? Did you get up to anything nice over Easter?

I've not done anything wedding wise other than the invites recently. I'm having a mini drama about my wedding ring at the mo which is just stressing me out slightly. My engagement ring was made at a lovely little jewellers in the town where we live. I went in last month and asked them to make my wedding ring to fit into my engagement ring. The man who owns the shop is retiring at the end of Apr and i asked if there was plenty of time and he said yes. So my engagement ring went off and a wax model is being made for me to check and then the real one will be done. I've called this morning to check how it's going and the wax model isn't back yet. He's going to chase the workshop today and get back to me. He doesn't seem phased by the timescale and so i feel like i'm stressing over nothing but surely 3 weeks isn't enough time - or is it!? I'm wondering whether he actually has a set date he's shutting the shop or if he's just saying end of April but it could be extended a few weeks until he sells his stock.

Well that's my mini drama explained - you see, this is why i missed this site so much. I need to share these things, it calms me down!

Hey Lincs honey.... I 'm starting to think our Nikki is lost too!!! I'm furious about how they've messed with our wee forum, blooming heck!!! I may e mail them and say i'm not a happy bride again!!!! I was also flabbergasted how much of your private details like address and such can be seen since they changed it.... Very very naughty!!!

Can't believe you had log on issues too, thats mad, maybe they've got an issue with us September 2010 2be brides??!?!?!?!? Well thankfully the stress is over we've found each other again, lets hope Nikki finds her way, NIKKI I HOPE YOU FIND US HONEY PIE!!!

Well my love our little wedding related planning couldn't be anymore similar!!! The future hubby and me went to the Jewellery Quarter in Brum and got our wedding rings... Mine is a two diamond crossover ring, H2B picked it and surprised me with it, although given the choice I wouldn't have chosen it, but I love it, it's so suits my finger / hand... The problem been the poor boy hadn't a clue as regards rings so asked for mucho advice... The chap said he'd be grand with that ring and it wouldn't cause any problems with a wedding ring... It was 14K white gold as well as being a crossover, MUCHO PROBLEM FINDING RING!!! So I am like you minus my beautiful ring as it is having a wax counterpart made.. In fairness Chris with whom we bought them off said that he couldn't say exactly when the ring would be back. But that they're were only 2, yes 2 chaps in the country who were worth asking to do these wax models and that given it's summer time, it'll probably be a lot longer than usual.. He did say it'll be worth the wait.. My guess is that your man also uses 1 of the two experts hence why your ring is delayed... Did he reassure you that regardless of his closing the shop that he'd still see your order through??? Ah honey I can totally understand where your coming from, bless yers... And how strange is it not having your ring on??? It is so surprising how much you miss it, it's like it's part of your skin!!!!! So I hope you get the news you want very soon as regards your ring honey, i'm sure it'll be well worth the wait.. Woo Hoo get us us with very special one off designs!!!!!

And well done honey on getting those invites sorted!!! I'm still currently looking at my bags of materials to do them, I have done some cutting out and prep for them.. I have given myself until the end of May to get them out!!! So no pressure!!!! i'm sure it'll be grand! I'm such a perfectionist and everyone has to be perfect!!!

So not done much else other than sort Wed Rings really... Oooo we are trying to do our notice of intent, which is proving to be difficult due to the waiting list!!!! But were booked in for end of May... Still trying to find a hairdresser!!!!! For me and two of my maids!!! Aaaaaarrgghh I wanna scream these hairdressers are a god damn mare!!! The bridal shop have had notification that my dress is on it's way!!! So i'm getting edgy waiting for the phone call!!! Wheres my dress!!!! Has yours come in honey?? Sorry I canny remember what with all the hassle from this site!!!

How strange that we are both having the same mini drama with rings. It is so lovely having one made but worrying all the same as i want it to be perfect. Your engagement ring sounds quite like mine, mine is a cross over 3 diamond ring. It's beautiful and very unique but i don't think h2b thought about my wedding ring either.

Well i got a call Thurs afternoon to say the wax model had come in so i went with h2b to the shop late Fri afternoon after work to see it. I was sooo disappointed as it wasn't at all what i imagined. I know it's very hard to explain the imagine in your head and i just don't think the man in the shop got it at all. I spent ages explaining it again and he drew what he thought i meant and also made a paper ring to help figure out what would work best. He is sending for another wax model which he says will be back by next Sat and then we'll go from there. He assured me that even though he's closing at the end of April he has the shop until the end of May and he will give me another contact number for him and carry the order through. When i left the shop i felt so gutted and nothing h2b said or did could pick my bottom lip up - not even a chocolate brownie from the cake shop! I sulked for an hour or so then chatted to h2b about alternatives. We decided that if the next wax model isn't what i like then we will look at the possibility of getting a straight across diamond set band and althought that won't fit into every part of my engagement ring, if it's the same height, band shape and width as my engagement ring and has the same shaped diamonds, it would still sit nicely against my ring. So will wait and see what happens next Sat. I sooo miss my engagement ring too, i feel lost without it. When i first took it in i kept having mini panics that i'd lost it, then i'd remember.

Well done on starting your prep work for your invites. We've been getting quite a few questions re hotels, timings etc for the wedding so i'm hoping to send the invites out beg of May as it has all that info in so people can use it to sort accommodation and transport out.

What a mare with finding a hairdresser hun. I just rang round quite a few for quotes and went with who was the most accommodating and trusted my instincts.

Yep my dress it in hun. Had my first fitting in March and due to go back in June to have my next one. I'm going to have a hair trial on the same day to see what it all looks like together. I hope yours is in soon, it's so lovely to try your OWN dress on, it feels very special.

Oh no honey what a disappointment with your ring... Pleased to hear they're sending it back again for a re model... I've gotta be honest as great as these wax thingys sound, I reckon it must be so hard to envisage it I think i'm probably gonna be gutted too honey... At least your man has reassured you that regardless he will see it through for you... And right now i'm sending you a massive huge chocolate brownie to cheer you up!!! This wedding malarky is so blooming stressful at times!!!

Yeah the hairdressing situation is a tiny bit annoying, but hopefully i'll sort it out.. I wanted to get a trial sorted for when I go and try my dress on.. Made up your dress is in honey that fabulous, just gutted they said mine would be mid march and i'm still waiting!!

Thanks for the huge chocolate brownie - lol! I'm sending one back for your dress situation hun. It's so disappointing when you are told it will be in and then it's not. What reason have they given you for it not being in? Just keep looking at that gorgeous pic you've got of it and it'll get you through. Have you thought about accessories for it yet? I just can't seem to find anything to go in my hair that looks right. I'm having a short veil that will sit below my hair (updo) and i want a pretty headband, maybe a double one with crystals but the ones i've looked at are very expensive. I found a pic in a magazine of a lovely illusion clear crystal necklace and bracelet and i couldn't find them anywhere so i went to see a jewellery maker on Sat who i met at a wedding fayre and she's pricing up how much it would be to make them for me. I should be getting a call this week. Even if it is a bit more expensive than in shops i like the thought of them being made just for me. I'm a sucker for things like that. When i first bought my dress one of my gorgeous bridesmaids made me some clear crystal earrings as a present so i want to wear them on the day as they are such a special gift, they look just like ones that would be quite pricey in shops - she's just such a talented little cookie.

Yep my h2b is exactly the same about this website - he doesn't get my fascination! He actually thinks i'm quite obsessed (he may be right!). Mind you, i'm not surprised they don't get it cos all they really have to do is turn up on the day and because of all the ideas and help we've got from this site it'll all be sorted!! Lol.

WOW 150 DAYS TO GO WOO HOO!!!!

Ah honey honestly I get so much blinking grief from him indoors about this website he he!!! Bless him though he managed to get some more solid commitment of work so he's currently on nightshifts, so I'm all home alone with the two kitty kats! We are super pleased about it, but his journey is 2 hours one way poor boy... Roll on that honeymoon! I know honestly Ross says i'm addicted too, I must confess though I so am. I just love the fact i'm chatting to brides to be that are either a) Like you getting married on the same day or b) wearing the same dress as me ......

Why thank you my love for my huge chocolate brownie, I shall try and be frugal with it and save some for later! I have to confess I have a huge addiction to dairy milk at the moment.. I cannot pass a day by where I do not have at least a small bar and if i'm feeling very naughty attack a good sized family bar, ooooo yum yum!

TBH, when I asked the bridal shop they said mid march and when I was last in which was the other week, as my Mum's shoes had come in. They said it was imminent as they'd had notification from pronovias to say it is on it's way!!! They also said they have it at there head office first and check the gown over to make sure it's up to their standards and quality I guess it gets despatched after that! I'm blooming bursting though to see it.. As you have said it must feel so very different when it's you own very special gown.. Do you dream of yours?? I think me sad cause sometimes I just blooming daydream, I need to get a life!!!

Ooo just thought when was she jetting off to Tenerife?? That was about now wasn't it?? So maybe she's no clue whats going on as she is indeed in the land of sunshine!

Your earrings sound lush honey, what a very talented BM you have!!! I know what you mean about everything been so flipping expensive, say the word WEDDING and thats it it doubles in price!! I've been very lucky my Mum has bought me everything from my dress, shoes, underwear and jewellery. I honestly wouldn't be having what I was if it wasn't for her, god love her...
