adies i am debating what to do with my hair on the day its shoulder length and relaxed,

dont know if i should add a weave, which i must admit i have never had before and i am a little scared

or should i go plain and simple and just pull it back in a nice bun or just have it up with curls,

has anyone had weave before, and would you reccommend it?

x

(ps we got our own forum lol)

I am defo going for an updo, I need to get some style ideas together actually.

Never had a weave before. From your pics Sassy you hair looks lovely, you can go with your own hair im sure.

What do you want to achieve with a weave...more hair, a longer style???

Ok, I understand. My hair is quite thin on top...the result of a very bad relaxer about 12 years ago. Havent relaxed it since, just went natural. I use my GHD's but when Im fitness training I dont bother, I just put it in a ponytail and use LETS JAM to flatten the frizzies!

I was considering putting a false piece on the back as im sure if I get hot it will frizz away.

Hey Sassy Weave can b a good thing and a bad thing it all depends on the style, the application method and who does it 4 u. When i did mine i bonded it and it looked so nice and real, everyone said so but when it came 2 taking it out it took alot of my hair with it and i used the remover.

Yep I will never use bonding glue again. I think if you have thick hair you can use these human hair clips that most europeans are using. There is this girl on one of the newly wed post who put some extensions in her hair , she bought the extensions at a market stall and dyed them to her own hair color, you wouldn't be able to tell she has hair extensions. I will try and find the thread.

jess i have the clip in ones, and they match my hair perfectly, the colour and you can't tell but they get loose and arent great that way, as for the bonding cglue, i dont want my hair to fall out

maybe if i get it sewn in it will be better,
this is what i want the meagan goode look

LOL, I'm getting my cousin to ship me over some good 100% human hair from States. I hear the quality of hair from Nigeria is especially good as well. I really want the sweep fringe and part of the hair up and part of the hair down to my back in spirals. Meagan's hair looks good. Sassy you would only probably need a few tracks sewn in at the back. Nobody has told me how the microbonding is , i've been told it breaks hair and i've seen what it has done to Christina Aguilera, she looks bald...so finally I've decided to get in sewn in too!! I'm going to buy 18-20 inch hair!!

sassy i do weaves all the time because it my hair a break!
Your hair is long so all you need is a few wefts of hair ewn in to make it look fuller (is that want you want ?) do not ever go for bonding glue it really adamages your hair (i have been there) All you need to do is go to ur hairdresser and they will tell what hair to buy to match ur hair.
I will send you a picture of my friend that got married that did what you want to do and it looked fabulous!

blaqueness please send me the pici too!! I've even thought of having tiny little micro braids but for that I would have to go to Africa, they do the best braiding there, their braids are so micro you have to cut your hair to undo them.

Hi, I had a weave once. It was sewn and it did at Junior Green.

It looked wonderful everytime i went there for a wash and set/tongue, but just couldn't maintain it at home.

Would be good for a wedding day but wold have to remove it for the honeymoon coz i would not want to struggle with hair dryers and straightners during that time!

Not sure if the problem was that the hair was "too human" my own is natural so if not styled properly u could see it wasn't real or me just being rubbish at this type of thing!!!
