I love me Bobbi Brown, I've also used Mac, I love their eye shadows, once had a gay guy in Brighton from the Mac counter do my eyes it was fantastic!!!
I also like Trish McEnvoy, found in Selfridges. I love Iman's lipsticks and lip pencils. My favourite lip liner is from bloom which can be purchased over the net.
I also use Maybelline mousse!! It's cool!! Someone said Benefit had some good ranges!!
I'm looking for good waterproof mascara. And has anyone used false eyelashes, mine are very thin and coul benefit from some.

After tryingt too MAC liquid foundations that i found too much trouble to apply, switched to IMAN and got a really good skin tone match and easy to apply powder to cream make-up. they also have blushers that i really like.
Went to MAC for a bridal makeover a few weeks ago in Selfridges. One of their artists (Natasha) did my make really nicelly and h2b couldn't stop saying how nice it was, eventough it was more tha five hours since i done it! They also do a face chart so you exactly where to apply what.
You have to pay when you book but it's refundable against purchases.
I might just switch to their powder/cream foundations now! I love their blushers, eyeshadows and lipglosses and lipsticks.
Wanted to try some Bobby Brown stuff a while back but they ignored me and were'nt particularly nice to me so......

Hi ladies
The following are all brands that do makeup for ladies of colour:
Clinique - I wear their Stay True formula for everyday wear
Mac
Prescriptives - I'm wearing a custom blend for my wedding as I can't find a range that matches my skin tone and stays on my face as I get an oily T-zone
Iman
Fashion fair
MaryKay
Maybelline Dream matte mousse - I have used this and it was quite good
Please post any others you know about, c'mon ladies share the knowledge xx

Prescriptives is something i've heard a lot about recently. Where can I get it. How much for a cutom blend, that would be cool to have one done exactly in your skin tone.

How about sleek, my friend is a artist 4 them and say's that they have an foundation that illuminates ur skin whilst u wear it. in other words it make ur face look brighter and natural but also evens ur tone out.

What do you guys recommend for me?
I don't tend to wear foundation very much (less than once a month). I wear things like bronzing balls & stuff as I find foundation dries out my skin. When I do wear it I wear a tinited moisturiser by MAC but that is only because I don't kno where else to go & I get loads of other stuff from MAC. I have heard prescriptives is good but not sur ehwere to try as I dodn;t want to spend all day at the counters and don realy like the way the ladies faff about all over you and then you end up looking like some kind of patch work rag doll!

I also went to prescriptives in House of Fraser Birmingham.
The foundation she put on me was nice it was called Real Tawny Virtual Skin, cost £22, it wasnt as heavy as the MAC studio fix. I think the custom blend is about £45 ish, but apprantley they match your skin tone exactly.

They do match your skin tone exactly, you have to make an appointment (so no hanging around the counter waiting for assistance). The appointment lasts about an hour and not only do they make up your exact colour but they also make it to match your skin type (which is my favourite bit). I've used a non custom blend and that was really good too (about £21 i think). Clinique is also good but I hear what you are saying about the patchwork effect and it can take a while til they get your colour right.

I think I will try that, I'm looking for a custom blend, I'll arrange an appointment for around spring time. I don't mind paying £45 for a good foundation

hello ladies,
so excited went to oxford street today and visited the presciptive counter in selfridges and had a custom blend foundation for 45 and powder for 35 made up for me it really looks good. I never wear make up as I thinks it feels really heavy on the skin and i a get really shiny forehead, but this was light like wearing a moisturiser and looks natural not chalk like. I would recomend this for a bride to be as you want to look perfect on your day and its like a special treat for youe self.
sorry for rambling on just ver excited about my expensive purchases. just have to find someone to come to the hse and do my make up on the weddding day.
