PLEASE READ: Spamming issues on Y&YW

Unfortunately, since youandyourwedding.co.uk migrated on to a new platform in March, we have been the victim of spamming across our forums and in particular, pornographic images.

We're really grateful that you're helping to report these threads to us to keep on top of them and we now have a bigger team of moderators to help us manage the forums effectively.

We are working with our developers both here and in the US to keep on top of these posts, ban the IP addresses, and come up with a long-term solution as soon as possible, including a more robust registration process.

We would like reiterate that we have not seen any evidence of children involved in the nature of these posts but are taking your concerns very seriously and are keeping on top of these claims.

Again, thank you for your help in bringing these threads to our attention; we're sorry we missed one or two in the early stages. We will update you when we have more information.

Congratulations to the girls who made such an issue of this that webmaster has had to issue this statement.

Out of interest webmaster, why does the change of platform make the site more open to spammers? That's a genuine IT interest question by the way!

Why not just go back to the way things were in ye olde days, gosh it was so much more straightforward and a whole lot happier! Can't you just get your technicians to click the back button a few times to make that happen???!!!

Spammers really need to be banned so that computer must be protected.
