Subject: 25th September Brides - How are you doing?
Hello ladies,

Only 6 weeks to go now and I was just wondering how everyone else is getting on?

Have had a week of being over-excited!

Was expecting my dress to come in this week, which it did, only to be told that they don't want me to come in for a fitting until 1st September?!? I was ready to go the next day! The waiting is killing me. Also a bit stressed because I know it will need altering. I was told it would anyway and now I've lost a fair bit of weight I'm a little nervous. Three and a bit weeks doesn't seem like very long to make alterations and then what if it needs more alterations? Yeah very nervous about that.

Also got my 'kit list' for my hen do this week (for next weekend). I have no idea what we're doing. I'm not great at surprises even though I trust my bridesmaids implicitly. Very nervous/excited. I am hoping items such as a snorkel are a red herring. Dashed out to buy some 'pyjamas that I would wear in public' and ordered about 5 bikinis from the web as well as I don't have one to fit.

Also all the RSVPs were due in this week. Not too many dramas - thank goodness!

My brain has been working over time. Have been lying in bed at night thinking, thinking, thinking, and stomach churning, churning, churning (with nerves and excitement I think!).

All the little things to do now like table plans, place names, favours etc.

Also a small matter of choosing how I want my hair! Having hair trial next Friday before the hen do starts.

I'm so excited. Everyone I speak to about the wedding is so excited for us and being so helpful.

Hope everyone else is doing OK and not stressing out too much.

Have got the nytol out of the cupboard this morning. I really need to sleep!

lots of love Spring_chicken aka ksc2b

Don't worry about the alterations - I don't go until 4th September but the length is the only problem so it should be easy to fix.
Had my hen do yesterday - or my Chicken Day as my wee niece called it went well, planned to be home early but still made it back by midnight (not bad for a 1pm start).
Going to Registrars tomorrow to lodge our papers and pay for their services - then it all becomes official I guess.
Otherwise all well.

I'm panicking! I don't know how I should have my hair. I was all set on lovely curls but now it seems my hair doesn't hold curls!! All this time I've spent growing it - wasted!

So now I'm thinking of going back to how I used to have my hair - short. Do you think sort of style would look ok? I'm not sure how they would hold the veil/tiara in though! I don't like my hair up.

I have got my hen do on 4th Sept and final fitting on 11 Sept. I just feel like I have lots to do (sorting out music - we can't decide!!) all of a sudden!!

*And breathe!*

Im a bit fed up of all the stressing and organising now to be honest! Just want the day to come round. Still need to finalise my hair and make up and get jewellery. And write out the order of service. Sure I'll think of loads of other jobs to do nearer the time! X

I had my hen weekend in London last weekend. It was fabulous. We did a chocolate making workshop and went to a salsa club for dinner and a salsa lesson. Had so much fun and it was great that everyone that hadnt met had a chance to get to know eachother before the wedding.

My dress fitting was about 5 weeks ago and she finished it last week but when i tied ot on it was paintfully tight so she needs to let it out now.

I cant decide whether to wear a necklace and bracelet. my dress has lots of diamonte detail at the top (its strapless)so dont want to draw the attention from the dress.

Excited!

Hello

We are in a bit of a hiatus actually, we have done as much as we can at the moment, so it is just a case of checking the hotel timetable for the day and I have already confirmed transport and the harpist.

Honeymoon plans in place, I just want to it be here already now

Hi Alison, was yours with My Chocolate? It was great and i was eating chocolate for a week! yum.

I'm starting to get nervous now, but not actually about getting married just all the logistical things. We have family coming from Dubai and South Africa so i want them to have a great time too.

Still havent chosen our first dance song as we dont have a song. My mum is mostly stressing me out, lots of little things that i really dont need to be worrying about such as have we got enough umbrellas in case it rains!

How is everyone else feeling? x
