Subject: WHERE TO POST, PLEASE READ!
Hi everyone
Now that the chat room has over 20,000 threads (!) it would be great if you could all help me to keep things in order by posting new topics only in the relevant threads.
Chat room rules - please don't post in this forum at all. This should be kept just for the rules - if there are new threads here then the rules get pushed off the page, so no one can see them.
You & Your Wedding announcements - again, a forum for us to let you know what's happening, so please don't post in here.
Online Chats - for the regular live expert web chats. Please make sure you use this only when live web chats are taking place, and remember to post within the thread (it'll be titled Welcome to XX's web chat) so that our experts see your questions.
Website Suggestions - if you're having problems with the site, want to make a suggestion or ask me a question, please do it here.
When posting a new topic, please only post it once, in the most relevant forum, as multiple postings of the same question across forums don't generally mean more chance of getting a response - often the reverse!

Hi,
I find it confusing when I see a subject that's relevant to me & then I want to reply to that person...do you use the quote button or is there a more direct method of contacting people? Example: when someone is half way through a topic and the quick reply box is not on view. Each person has a profile but you can't use this to contact them or can you? Also when you respond to topic it shoots back to the top of the thread, is this right? Also, i have tried to ask for notification when i get a reply to my questions but this isn't happening?
I have to say, that the site has already been really useful to me already but I'm not a techie & sometimes it's confusing.

Subject: Pre-Wedding Church courses
Hello
We're getting married in a church in Spain, the Reverend requested we attend a course at a Church in the UK prior to getting married, I think he means a pre-marital guidance course run by the Church. Apart from The Alpha Course does anyone know of a course we can attend at a Church in London (non-Catholic).

Hi Silverfish
When you post a reply in the chatroom, your reply will appear after the last message posted. So if you want to reply to person A, and person B posts before you do then your reply will appear under person B's post, even though what you are saying refers back to person A. Does that make sense?
You will see the quick reply box at the bottom of the page, so if there are already lots of replies, you'll have to scroll. If you're using the post reply button, this can be found at the top and then bottom of the page, and simply opens up another page with a reply box for you to type in.
If another user has an email button underneath their posts then you can use this to send them an email direct. This will not appear in the chat room as it's a private message.
When you've responded to a topic, the page refreshes and automatically takes you back to the first page of that thread, that's totally normal. Your post will be at the bottom of this thread as you were the most recent person to post.
Hope that answers your questions, if not, post me a message in the Website Suggestions forum and I'll do my best to help out.

Click on the email button below the other persons posts (like on your own posts, have a look).
Not everyone enables the option to email them though if you can't see the button.
Try posting a topic for her attention on the "Planning" forum.

hi, i can't seem to find 'general chat' in the chat menu but people keep referring to it. am i missing it or is it just under a different name?
also how can i keep better track of topics i've replied to? at the moment i use the notify me option but i can't really do that fro every thread. is there away of just looking up my own posts and then i can take it from there.
