CHAT ROOM HOUSEKEEPING, PLEASE READ THIS AS WELL!

Hi everyone

Following on from the post called WHERE TO POST, PLEASE READ! I just wanted to ask for your help again in making the chat room as easy as possible to navigate for new brides-to-be and regular users alike.

One of the issues people are having trouble with is finding previous posts on a topic, and part of this is to do with the titles of posts, which don't always reflect what's in them, or things go slightly off topic and they stil have the old title.

So... it would really (and I mean really!) help everyone out if we could all get into the habit of updating the subject title when we're replying to posts if it's no longer talking about the original topic. That way, when other people come to search for something that's already been mentioned, they'll get a bit more of a pointer to the topics that are of interest to them.

Does that make sense?

How do you actually get to chat to people in the chat room?

It isn't actually a chatroom, it's a forum. You only communicate via messages left on subjects.

hi elaine here totally lost with this thing but if there is anyone getting married in paphos i'd really appreciate any advice you can give me on planning our wedding there. Hopping to get married in sept 2009 there thanks E

Welcome to the forum.

All you have to do to get into the different forums is to click on the white box below "forum jump" look through the list for "weddings abroad" forum, click on it and you will be able to see lots of other brides getting wed abroad.

Hello my name is Katie. I came across this site as quite a few of you appear to be talking of the QM2. My little girl and I are going on the QM2 in October and wonder if anyone could share their experiences on there with us. We are flying to New York, going to Niagra Falls, heading for Up State New York (Hunter Mountain) and returning from NY to Southhampton the QM2.

Have any of you done this. I am really nervous re things to wear. The other problem I have is that I have just lost 11 stones with a Gastric Band Operation and am petrified that I wont look as stunning as others whilst on board.

Any help you could give me would be most gratefully received.

Hi , how do i delete a thread that i started?

You can't delete a thread, or for that matter any post.

You can edit it and remove the content (just leave a dot or single character), but that's the closest you can get.

Bear in mind that if you edit a post it will bring it to the top of the pile again, not necessarily a good idea if you don't want to draw attention to it.

well to be quite honest i got a bit lost i thought it was a chat room so i went into every field posting the same info to get a responce then was told i was an advetiser i was only trying to get people to chat to me so why is it called a chatroom then (luckily i have had some help from another member)
