I was just skipping through and reading some of the other posts (not in the "2009" section) and haven't stumbled upon many other "Yorkshire" B2B's... Just wondered if there are many others out there and where and when are you getting married ?? Look forward to hearing from you

That's 7 of us so far then
I have lived in Wetherby all my life, until last June when me and my OH moved in to our brand new house together in South Milford (a little village just up the road from Sherburn-in-Elmet if anyone knows of it). Been with OH for 5 years and he moved up from Poole (in Dorset 300 miles away!!) so we could be together 8\)
We got engaged on 31.03.07 and we are getting married on 18.07.09 at The Waterton Park Hotel in Wakefield. www.watertonparkhotel.co.uk if anyone wants a peek!!

My OH now works in York (BT - transfer from Bournemouth) and I work as a credit controller for an agricultural company in a little village on the outskirts of York called Angram (near Long Marston).

So far we have booked the venue (we are getting married there aswell) and the registrar, all family accommodation (as OH's family will be travelling up from Poole), I've chosen my dress, the bridesmaid dresses, mens suits etc..etc.. We will have booked the photographer by the end of the month too.
Our colour theme is going to be Ivory, Black and Antique Gold!!

How are you lot doing with your booking? I'm interested to know what others have done!!

Im getting married not far from you at the Gomersal Park Hotel which is Nr Leeds. We too are getting married at the hotel and have booked the registrar. Iv also has all the stationary done because we are sending save the date cards out next month. my h2b is scottish and im from yorkshire so we have chose to have a theme for the wedding, everything will be in the flower of scotland tartan and yorkshire rose (white rose). Its made picking everything else really easy. All our stationary has been done in cream card with tartan down one edge and silk rose pubs on it looks lovely. Iv chose the colour of the bridesmaid dresses they will be the same blue as one of the colours in the tartan but I wont chose the style till iv picked my dress. Iv booked the bagpiper and the ceilidh band. We are hoping Brother in law 2 b (who is a photographer) will be doing our pictures and my Auntie makes wedding cakes so there will be no problem there. I feel quite organised really lol bet I wont be saying that in july next year.

I've booked the venue - Comlongon Castle in Scotland. Having the ceremony and reception there and they're supplying the band. Mum's making the cake and doing the flowers and I've decided on white (dress), pink (flowers) and silver (as we're having platinum rings). Am worried about buying the dress in case I see a better one afterwards!

My sister is arguing the toss with me because I originally said she might have a black dress and now I want her to wear pink! H2B also was dubious when I mentioned a pink cravat!

Anyone else got some convincing to do?
