Our wonderful 28th August Wedding (photos and report)!!

My wedding report!! Sorry if there are any spelling mistakes, or if it sounds boring!!

Background

My husband and I met at university. We were staying in the same halls of residence, and we became best friends I went out with a guy for a month, but things wern't going anywhere, and so I ended it. I didn't think anything would happen between my now husband and I, but he told me he liked me, and the rest is history!!

As soon as we got together, we moved into one room, and were inseperable. Both sets of parents liked us (it was hard to find someone my dad approved of), and his parents are lovely.

We moved into rented accomodation after 1 year, and lived here for 2 years, until we finished University. We then moved away due to his job, and have moved a few times since

The Proposal

Jump forward 6 years and he asked me if I'd like to climb Snowdon. We have climbed Ben Nevis before, and done a few other walks, so this wasn't out of the ordinary.

The climb up was hard for me, as for some reasons my hips decided they wanted to start grinding!! There is a train that goes up Snowdon, and very near the top I saw it and just burst into tears. I was in so much pain, and didn't want to carry on!! He came over to me, hugged me, and said that we've come this far, it would be a shame not to reach the top. After a few minutes I decided I would carry on, although it took a long time, as hobbling up large steps is not fun!

When we reached the top, we took a few photos, and then he pulled me down behind the mound where the sun dial is (it was freezing up there), and sat me down. He kept rummaging in his bag (I now know he couldn't find the ring), and kept asking really random questions. I must have looked really confused!! He then got down on one knee, and said that he loved me, and asked me to marry him!! I just jumped on him, and said yes straight away. It was such a gorgeous surprise, and the ring was perfect. I wear my rings all the time, so he had to sneakily try one on his finger when I had taken one off, and where that stopped, was the size he needed. He went to the shop, found the ring, and the only size left was the one he needed!! I was so proud of him

Our Wedding

Our wedding was perfect!! There were a few hitches though!

1. My then H2B forgot the rings, so my sister's boyfriend had to take them in the morning
2. My bridesmaids nearly forgot their bouquets. My dad had to run out after the car to get them to come back in!!
3. My sisters boyfriend was meant to take the button holes, but forgot, so these were taken in the car along with my mum and our 2 bridesmaids
4. I got my heel stuck before getting into the church!!!! I haven't got any photos of this yet, but I will edit this thread, so that I can add the link to our professional photos once we get them

Other than these small issues, our day was perfect!! The sun decided to come out, and was with us all day. Everyone had a good time, the food was gorgeous, and the atmosphere was great. We had such a good day, and enjoyed every moment. We went straight from the reception to the airport hotel, ready to fly to Prague on the Sunday. Prague was amazing, and I would definitely recommend it!!

This is all I've got for now, as they're my mum and dad's photos. I will be getting some more discs through soon, so I will be able to add some more (if anyone would like to see them!!)

We've not had the professional ones yet, but hopefully we will soon.

Awww lovely, how sweet of your hubby to go to the trouble to get the right ring size! I can't see your pics (on work comp) so will have a look later.

I have trouble seeing other people's photos too!! It is so annoying. My work blocks a lot of websites, but luckily Kodak is one that they allow us to go on

Thank you! I have some guest pics I can post, the professional ones are copyrighted so I can't post them.

Oh no!! I can't see them. I will look at the weekend though (we are having slight internet issues at home, but I am visiting my sister this weekend, so I will steal her laptop

I have just looked at them, and they're great!! You looked beautiful!!

I love your flowers, and the cake looked yummy! I love all of the photos of your flower girls and page boy too. Well, I actually loved them all!

I now can't wait even more to get ours. I hope we don't have to wait too much longer.

I hope you don't have too long to wait, did they tell you how long it would be? Though then again, I guess it's nice to have something else weddingy to look forward to!
