Mines coming up in a couple of weeks. We were going to go away for the weekend, but various things have gotten in the way, so I think we will just go for a nice meal at one of our fave resturants and maybe drive up to the lakes and have a nice lunch and walk the next day.

I've bought him a recipie book - he loves cooking and I wanted to stick with the traditional gift theme, you know 1st Anniversary is paper etc...

Cant believe that 1 year has gone so fast though!!!

Ours is halloween! He has quite an expensive watch as a joint birthday/anniversary gift. i was really pleased as the modern wedding anniversary lists timepieces for first anniversary.

I have also got him a jokey gift of an origami set to go with the more traditional paper theme.

We are off to Rome for our anniversary for a few days, should be a good break!

Hubby and I are going for a night in the lakes and we're going to drink the very nice fizz we got for the wedding.

I'm having a boudoir shoot for his gift sticking again with the paper theme. Unfortunately I didn't book soon enough for it to be ready for the anniversary.

The Lakes sounds lovely. We are actually living in Germany so we will be going to The Harz mountains for the weekend. As far a paper for pressies go I have bought my hubby a digital book reader. Its sort of a paper theme. X

Happy anniversary ladies !
We are going away for the weekend to an Elite group hotel which is going to be so romantic. Our actual anniversary is next weds and I have got hubby tickets for Les Miserables in a few weeks time (paper = tickets !). On our actual anniversary we are having a special meal at home with a bottle of Krug (on a school night as well), we will also watch our wedding video and have a dance to our first dance. I do want to wear my dress again but hubby says that's going a bit far LOL ! Maybe time totake the dress down now from the spare room and get a box for it.
The year has gone so quickly but it has been a fab year - enjoy ladies x

We decided no gifts and no cards.
Went Glamping in a Tipi in Sussex. It rained but we still managed a bbq sat out under the stars with a few drinks. Lovely way to spend it- away from everything, just the two of us. I'd love to do somethuing like that every anniversary.

Congrats on first anniversary's ladies. Mine was 24th September and as hubby is useless with stuff like that I did expect him to remember anniversary however never expected him to do anything about it lol (to the extent that I had planned a party for a week later to help me get over the dissapointment) however I awoke to a delivery of red and cream roses (just like the ones on my wedding day, and I should say it was the firs time hubby has EVER bought me flowers)and then the afternoon was spent at the safari park (random yes but we have two boys, 2 year old and 3 years old) then the day after we all went for a wee photoshoot with the photographer who had shot our wedding I can't wait until next year now, recon my anniversary coul;d become my favourite day of the year
