Weekly wedding workout plan: advanced circuit
Squat jumps: 4 sets of 20 reps
Jump up from a squatting position, keeping your arms by your sides. Go back into a squat as you land.
One-arm presses with resistance band: 4 sets of 20
Secure your resistance band to a fixed anchor point. Take an end in one hand. Keep your arm bent, palm facing the floor. Push your arm forwards until straight. Return to starting position. Alternate arms.
Alternating arm press-ups: 4 sets of 20
Assume the press-up position, holding dumbbells. Lift one hand at a time off the floor towards your chest, bending your elbow. Keep the rest of your body still.
One-leg stiff-leg deadlifts: 4 sets of 20 reps
Stand on one leg. Bend at the waist to lower the dumbells towards the floor, keeping your back flat, extending the free leg behind you.
Shoulder presses: 4 sets of 20 reps
Holding dumbbells, bring your hands to shoulder height, palms facing outwards. Extend your arms above your head. Return hands to shoulder height.
Walking lunge with medicine ball: 4 sets of 20 reps
From standing, step forward with one foot, dropping your hips towards the floor and bending both knees – don’t bend your front leg more than 90°. Push up, step forward with your back foot and repeat. Every time you lunge, raise the ball above your head.
Biceps curls: 4 sets of 20
With a dumbbell in each hand, stand with your arms at your sides. Keep your upper arms still and curl your hands up towards your shoulders.
Mountain climbers: 4 sets of 20 reps
Assume the press-up position.
