Just thought for abit of fun it would be nice to see how everyone met their husbands/h2b's

7 years ago I met my h2b in a nightclub I had been dragged on a night out by one of my friends.

I liked the look of h2b when I saw him so later in the night I decided to grab his bum. we ended up arranging a date I cancelled on him 3 times due to illness and exams (was only 18) but on the 4th time he asked I could go and I havent looked back since!!! I'm so glad he didn't give up on asking me out!!

I met my H2B when I worked part time in a pub. Apparently the first night he saw me behind the bar he said to his brother 'I'm going to be with that girl one day', almost 5 years down the line we're happier than ever and planning our wedding. Drives me completely crazy sometimes but couldn't be without him

I am from South Africa and met my H2B when he came to Cape Town for a holiday. We happened to meet through a mutual friend on a night out. It turned out that he was living in Oxfordshire about 5 minutes away from where my sister and mum were living in the at the time!We kept in touch when he went back to the uk and finally got together when I came over to the UK for my mum's 60th party. We did the long distance thing for about 8 months until I moved over to the UK to be with him, he proposed on my 30th birthday 2 months later
Oh and my sister's married name is the same as h2b - her husband is no relation though - so i will have the same surname as my sister again!

My OH was serving in Iraq when we met. He was bored and decided to stitch his mate up on a few websites so logged onto one I was a member of and sent me a really cheeky arrogant message under his own profile. He said afterwards he'd been attracted by my smile.
I decided to pull this cocky squaddie down a peg or two because he really was full of himself.
Before we knew it we were exchanging insults on an almost daily basis when he was not working, I realised that deep inside lay a loving, kind and sensitive gorgeous man.
We decided to meet up when his deployment was over and I fell head over heels.

That was 7 years ago and now 2 kids later we're planning to get wed when his service ends next year.

So glad I took a chance on him not being a total &*(^

I don't remember "meeting" as such. We had a list with each others' names on it. I remember reading his, thinking, "Huh, why would you call you child that? So ambiguous." and apparently he saw my name, thought, "Who is she? Why don't I know her? I KNOW EVERYBODY" and asked about me, and was told I was odd.

First time I saw him, he walked confidently into a room, and went over and started cuddling this girl whom I knew had a boyfriend, and calling her "wifey". I was very confused.

We were both volunteers for helping run our college interviews. He decided to make friends with me by telling a story about "Zombies in Somerville" which he and a crazy Greek had come up with. We were friends for 2 and 1/2 years before getting together.

I had a fight with mine!! My "friend" at uni had just copped off with another guy I liked so I was miserable. A guy who knew her had come out that night so I was moaning to him and to make me feel better he told me that stuff happened to him all the time and girls never liked him. I told him that's probably because, while he was good looking, he really was "too short to be attractive"... I'll be wearing flats most of our wedding day!!
We got together some months later when my then boyfriend (who hadn't copped off with my friend) told me to call his mate as I was headed to Birmingham with a friend for a night out. I called him, we got on A LOT better than the first time. And the ex is an usher at our wedding!!

Plenty of Fish.com!!!

It took about 6 weeks before I gave him my number, then we texted for about another six weeks before I gave up, thinking he just wasn't interested. He carried on texting, I ignored him. The fourth text he sent said "hey there, haven't heard from you for a while, hope you're ok. If you're not interested then no worries, and it was good getting to know you"

I ummed and ahhhed, couldn't decide whether to reply and in the end, tossed a coin. It came up heads, I replied, we went on a date four days later and have been together ever since (which is about 2 years and 11 months)

I fell over him! We were at Sonisphere in 2010. After a pint or 2 of Bow I decided to get in the middle of a circle pit. Not as good an idea as it seemed, I fell over, staggered over to the bar (I needed a drink to get over the shock)and tripped over Mr J who was sitting on a banking minding his own business.

His recollection of the event is someone in french maid dress, corpse paint and hob nail boots going flying over his feet. Apparently, I sat up, said a very rude word and offered to get him a pint while I was at the bar. We talked so much, we missed most of Alice Cooper. After 3 days, we agreed to keep in touch, but I didn't think anything I'd ever hear from him again.

Lo and behold, when I got home, there was an e-mail waiting. We met up the following weekend (he lived in London, I lived in Wales and as often as we could after that. I finally moved here in October last year and we married on the 11th of Feb this year.

LOL @ Lilymou.

I was massacring fluffy puppies and Mr CBW happened to be passing. He lent me a length of rope and a pair of pliers he happened to have lurking under his cape and bob's yer uncle.

Nine years later, we are tucked away in our cave of evil with a fake baby. We can't go out in daylight as we'll turn to ash, but life's good.

Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.

Ours is a bit long.. but here goes

It was December 27th 2003, I was just 15, and round a friends house playing about on facepic! oh yes, facepic. Then all of a sudden a private message came up from a man, saying "hay local girl" so that afternoon we exchanged private messages back and forth, and relasied we lived about 3mins away from each other.

I have to add at this point, I put on facepic that I was 19!! Then I had to go out.. so I just randomly gave me him mobile number. Crazy.

So from that date, we text each other non stop every day,and he kept saying, oh we'll meet up this week, it never happened. Then we started talking on the phone.. for hours on end, just chatting and laughing.

it was then 27th Jan 2004, and I had gone to see his band play at a local pub in Watford, I sat at the back with my friend.. trying not to been seen by the bouncers as we were only 15 lol We spent the whole night texting each other, but neither of us actually had the balls to go and speak to the other in person.. But he was gorgeous!! I fancied the pants off him!

Then came the week before Valentines, he asked, what are doing, to which I replied, "I hate valentines day" lol so forward another week, of texting and phone calls, it's 14th of Feb 2004. He ask's me again if I fancied doing anything, so I agreed, as by this point I just wanted to meet him in person. He he said he'd text me later and pick me up.. 7pm came and still heard nothing, I was all dressed up ready for my first ever proper date..

So, me and my gay friend. decided to screw him, and we'd go out together!! But we had no money, so walked to his grandad's house to get some..

Then as we were walking uo his Grandad's road, who should call, Simon H2B, saying was I ready, so I explained what happened and he asks "are you wearing a red and black top" I was like yyeaah. a little bit scared.. it just so happens Simon and my mates grandad lived in the same road

So he came down, and asked if I still wanted to go out, and my freind replied, yes she does, she isn't spending Valentines day with a gay boy..

So I got in his car, and we went to the cinema to see School of Rock!! He sat at the back, and half way through the film he held my hand, and started squeezing it in patterns, and I had to respond by squeezing his hand back in the same pattern.

Then the film was over.. and it was time to go home.. He drove me to the end of my road.. because I didn't want my brothers or parents to see me get out of his car or see him, and I didn't think they would approve of me being on a date with a 24 year old man at the age of 15 lol

I sat there in his car.. hoping for a kiss, but it never happened, and there is only so long you can sit and stare at someone without looking strange And of course, as soon as I got home I got a text "oh, no kiss" lol

We met again 2 days later at his house.. to which I sat at the opp end of his bed, as far away from him as possible.. He found out my age 2 weeks after our first date.. he was shocked to say the least, but bascailly said, I really like you, we get on so well, and as long as we don't do anything illegal, he can't see no harm in being together.

For the first year, our relationship was a secret, only my friends, one of my sisters, and his friends knew we where together.

And 8years 1 and a half months later, we are still together, so happy and only 10 and a bit months away from finally being married.

he is my Prince charming.. I have grown with him, my 16th, 18th, 21st birthdays, moving out for the first time, college, my first proper job, career changes..

I love him so much!

LOL FSM.. love it.

Mine worked for my dad.. i met him at 16 at my first proper summer job.

he was the office bad boy and had a girlfriend.. i had a boyfriend, however I fancied the pants off of him and we used to go out for lunch, go over the park and occasionally get pissed in the pub on a friday with our work mates. I was in awe of him.. he was so cool.. I was like a puppy.

I went to uni and we lost touch.

4 years later I randomly text him saying 'guess who' he called me, and despite the weird mix of a southern and northern accent he worked out who i was... just about!!I also had a boyfriend at this time .. but he was a total mummies boy and did my brain in.. I was only with him really coz i couldn't afford the rent on my own ( mean i know)

After constant texting we met up again 4 months later.. and i saw why I fancied him so much last time.. i thought he was gorgeous and despite the attempt at the hard boy look (and looking a bit like a wally) I fell in love with him.

During this time I had to lie to the parents as they would of gone mad (dad sacked him a few years before...!!)

They finally found out about 8 months later when his mum saw an old work colleague and mentioned ben and I were an item.. that old work colleague happened to still work for my dad and though it very convenient to drop it into conversation.. despite knowing how much he disliked him.

We had a tough time getting some of the family to accept the relationship and have had our own trials and tribulations... but its all history and I will be marrying my best friend and childhood sweetheart on the 10th of November 2012

sick bucket anyone?!ha ha

Online - via The Guardian's dating site, Soulmates. I'd given up hope of meeting somebody through friends or on random nights out so one rather lonely night at home with a bottle of wine I decided to throw caution to the wind and put a profile up. H2b was the first person I met through the site and that was almost 6 years ago now!
