As above! Where are you getting married? When?

lyndadavis3 - I saw you thread your plans are gorgeous and I love your venues you are going to have fantastic pictures. I work in the city and can say the lamb tavern is brilliant - great choice!

I am a London Bride still looking around at venues though but I have to say..isn't the prices of some venues in central London ridiculous?! I'm looking towards having a large wedding which makes it even worse!

Thank you it we found it through Westminster's list of civil ceremony venues and we love it, it was the roof terrace that sold it!! I think I will only ever get into once though just for the wedding getting married there doesn't get you free membership unfortunately!!

I will try to sort out a planning thread but we haven't done that much yet so not sure I have that much to show!! Need to start my DIY bits soon we have currently only done Save the Dates and collected bits and pieces!

Hi

I'm a London Bride too - haven't done a planning thread yet as I don't have pictures for most of my ideas - it's all in a messy nebulous cloud in my head at the moment! We're getting married in May at Islington Town Hall then going to Trinity Buoy Wharf for the reception.

How about you, do you have anything planned/booked yet?

Hello,
I am another London bride. We're having the legal part at Marylebone Town Hall and then we're having the "big wedding" at Fulham Palace. Less than 3 months! Just sent off my deed poll application this morning so I'm bursting with excitement today!!

Do you have any plans yet doyounoah?

Hello,

I'm another London bride to be - June 2013, so still in the early planning stages. We're looking at Islington Town Hall for the ceremony (since Marylebone is unfortunately closed for two years) and we've booked London Zoo for the reception.

Good luck with the planning. The ladies on here have been really helpful in my planning, so just shout if you need any advice!

I'm a London bride

Getting married March 2013 at The Amadeus in Maida Vale. We were supposed to be having the ceremony at Marylebone Registry Office but they've now decided to shut down for a few months next year, grrr! So probably doing the legal bit a couple of days before with just parents, and then a humanist type ceremony at the venue on the day!

You London brides might be interested in this. I have a competition running at the moment to win tickets to the Most Curious Wedding Fair on Saturday 31st March

Hi to all the London Brides *big wave*

I'm getting married 3 May 2013 in St Mary's church in Blackheath then wedding reception at Charlton House in Greenwich I am soooo excited I can't wait to start planning!

So good to see all your posts I've had a look at all your venues they all look lovely! I've visited a few of them...

lyndadavis3 - I was absolutely blown away by Eltham Palace I went to their wedding fair a few months ago it is beautiful!

Maddi2012 - Soho House is so cool! The whole wedding over 3 floors sounds brilliant does that include the roof terrace? Because that's a winner in my books!lol

Gatsby_Wedding - I haven't visited Trinity Buoy Wharf but having a reception by the riverside is going to make some beautiful photos!

lizzydee - OMG 3 months to go!!!! You must be so excited! How big is your wedding? Do you have a planning thread too?

janiejuju - I'm still in the early stages of planning too. It feels like we have quite a while to plan but I don't want the day creeping up on me and rushing to plan the last few bits...

Boo81uk - i follow your blog and on twitter so im up to date with your wedding planning! When does Marylebone Registry Office re-open again?

Amygrace13 - My venue is also in Greenwich too! Also having my wedding on the bank holiday Friday. Are there any other venues you've had a look at?

Yes the prices can be really steep in London as MissILoveDiamonds mentionned but it is definitely a case of looking around at as many venues as you can and then looking at all your options. I went from having 150 guests to 50 day guests and 30 evening guests because i simply can not afford it!

Please post any of your planning threads so I can have a nosy on my lunchbreak!

Hello all,

I was a London Bride (also a Greenwich bride - Trafalgar Tavern) Happy to share details of any good suppliers we found.
21/03/2012 at 09:05
Ooh, Charlton House is lovely! Grand but still beautiful. Looking forward to hearing more about your planning as it progresses!
21/03/2012 at 09:47
I looked at Charlton House - it was a closeone between that and Devonport House, which is our venue we looked at the Dorchester and the Tudor Barn in Eltham but we love the package we get at our venue!

MrsTwizbe - if you could send me supplier details that would be great we really just need photographer and entertainment.

Yes, if anyone can recommend any photographers or make-up/ hair stylists that would be really helpful!

I've found a few people, but it's always nice to get recommendations
21/03/2012 at 10:51
Yes it would be good for us to all post and share London based suppliers on here!

I'm using Beauty Call for hair and make-up for me, mum and the bridesmaids. I had my trial back in December and was really happy with it. They're a pretty decent price too.

Our photographer is Ellie Gillard - haven't actually met her yet although will be doing so soon for an engagement shoot. Her work has an arty feel to it that I like. Because she's quite new she's also quite well priced!
21/03/2012 at 18:22
Oh yes haven't covered this! I've got Jenny Sherman for makeup who is lovely (and cheap comparatively!), Claire Cross vintage hair for er...hair - she is ace and has a miniature dachshund that sat on my knee during the trial!

Photographer is Milda Vasile who is also lovely.

As yet I haven't really availed to any of their services properly but its all good what I know so far!

Me! Hello ladies, we're getting married on 10th May 2013, at the Royal Military Chapel, St James' Park (my fianc????'s in the army) and then onto Pembroke Lodge for the party! Like the idea of using this thread to share suppliers- can anyone recommend a good florist, please? We've booked Ellie Mac for the photos, she's lovely and her pictures are quirky but natural!
