we are 4th July too!! yay!!

we have booked our venue, got our rings, found my dress!!! Whoop whoop, getting the bridesmaid dresses designed, sorted out a florist but we are having lots of trouble getting a photographer - I fell in love with two different photographers and they are both booked on our day! Then I had a recommendation for another photographer from a fellow YAYW lady and he too is booked!! L bit worried now... how is everyone else doing? x

We have nearly everything booked..Church, Reception, Florist, DJ, Cars, Photographer... trying to find someone to do balloons and the in-laws are sorting the cake!! We are booking the honeymoon at the end of June and I have picked the dresses and suits!!! Although these are not being ordered until later in the year!

I am still scouring stores for jewellery and shoes though... also still have no idea how to have my hair!!

We are having a civil ceremony and have the reception etc there. So far we have booked the venue, photographer, I have got my dress. I have seen the florist I want, the rings we want, the bridesmaid dresses and we need to make decision as to whether it is a DJ or band. If we have a DJ then I think we know who we wnat for that too so we are getting there!

Once you and you other half have decided on what sort of car, photographer, flowers you want, sart to have look around local companies and get quotes. All the ones we looked at we already taking bookings for next year so once we had decided on someone, we paid a deosit to secure the date.

Hope this helps a little!

Hi - we are 4th July as well - 1.30pm. We have booked the church (and had the required meeting wtih the vicar), venue and photographer. We are provisionally booked in with a DJ and we have also sorted out our cars through a work contact. My cake is being done by someone we know.

We have also decided that instead of doing the traditional style favours for the table we are instead giving lottery tickets which a local hospice run. Basically means we pay £1 for each guest which goes to the charity and then there is a 1 in 4 chance of winning a price. Apparently they have over 5000 people enter each week so it means that they can afford to run the lottery and also give loads to the charity as well.

Going to florist and start looking for dresses etc next month. As mentioned before in another post I'm finding it hard to get excited about the organisation of it all. I guess we will start feeling the tingle about it all soon!

Hi - we (read me) having a bit of a panic about hotel rooms. The venue we have chosen (near Maidstone, Kent) doesn't have any accommodation attached to it so been ringing around the local hotels and so many of them are already fully booked for our date. Just found out that the Hilton Maidstone is available and the honeymoon suite is still available as they don't have a wedding booking as yet. My worry is that if we book somewhere like that there will be two brides ending up walking around the hotel later in the evening. Not really just our special day! Can't believe so many places are booked up (according to the website counter) with 413 days to go. AGGHH - post the other day not stressed....am now!

Wow so many of us on the 4th July!! we picked it as its the closest saturday to the day we met - 1st of July. people keep questioning it tho as its independence day.
You all sound super organised, scary to think of all that has to be done!!!
Yey that we've got our own thread!

Hello everyone - just found this thread - very exciting to see there are others on the 4th July so with the same time to go - we can all count down together! We are getting married in Italy so are kind of on hold until September when we can confirm the date... We have provisionally booked a venue for our reception for 2 weeks later in the UK though, and I have ordered my dress. Also sorted our photographer in Italy and where we are going to have the meal. We also found a hotel we are hoping for everyone to stay in. I think that's about it for now though! Just waiting for September now... xx

Hello! I'm a newbie! So exciting to see so many excited B2Bs!

You're all so organised!! We've booked appointments with the vicar, the venue, the caterer and the marquee company, but haven't actually got anything confirmed yet!

My H2B is busy telling me "it's still over a year to go" - you're all my proof to him that we need to start booking, so thanks girls, you're spurring him into action!!

Hi!

Well, I've got my dress - put the deposit down on Saturday. http://www.morileebride.co.uk/live/welcome.asp?id=671

We can't book our honeymoon till about end of July - it's taking in Vegas, but the hotels won't release the rooms till then, rubbish! Where are you going Bec?

Need to get the rest of the Bridal Party outfits, and start making my stationary, but I think that's it for now as well!! x

Oooh that is beautiful with all the beads....
I am ordering my dress in september.. waiting to drop another dress size!!
I know, we have only just been able to book ours because of the seasons!! We are going to Dominican Republic! Can't wait!!
We have picked the suits but not ordering then til end of the year. And as for stationary, I haven't a clue! I have a guest list and that is about it!!!
