Tillypuss is also a 31st May bride, so that's 3 of us! What made you choose this date? x

We chose the date as it is in between both our birthdays and doubled with the fact that it was 4 grand cheaper than the Saturday!! We work shifts too, so really a weekend is not days off to us and most of our friends!
You sonud so sorted! I am collecting my day and eve invites tonight so they will go out this week. We did do save the dates too though last year!
I'm so worried my dress isn't in yet!! typical bride panIc. whats your dress? and your shoes. I found a really nice vintage jewellery web site will go for that but just need to see my dress again!
So cant wait though can you? just got in from the gym! seem to spend my life either at work, gym or searching the net!!! xx

Hi. Thanks for setting this up!! I thought I'd be the only one on this date so I'm really happy to see at least 2 others!!!
I tried my dress on last thursday, it is completely bead and bling free, the purpose of the try on was to re-aquaint myself with the dress and to chat about the bling issue. It turns out that bling is scary and I'm not having any! I'll try to post a picture later. I managed to find that the shoes I've bought and shown h2b are going to kill me, so I need new ones! So that's a job for me next week at the NEC show! I managed to try my necklace on and that is good, but I now need hair jewels and a bracelet!!
Why did I pick the 31st May? Simply put my venue had an offer on, that ended on the 31st, and all the weekend dates were taken back to about march and we wanted as long as possible to try and save to pay for it! I figured I'd been to Sunday weddings and didn't mind the day off after so thought that it would be okay to ask my guests the same thing!
Next job for me? Flowers! Got an appt on Friday to discuss, I haven't a clue and I'm having artificial due to the bh problem? Any of you having the same discussions and thoughts? X

Hello,
I am 31at May 2010 as well! I was going to write something on here but never got round to it, i have just stumbled across this when looking at hair styles as this is the one thing that i have not done yet although i have my hair trail tomorrow.

My dress came in on Saturday so i have to go and try it on, it took 3 months to come in I think. I can't remember why we chose this date but the venue did do a deal for us as it was a Monday.

Are we all excited? 92 days to go!!!! xx

What a beautiful dress and I love the necklace too, I rang my dress shop yesterday and it is due in in the next week so feeling a bit better now!! I am sooo rubbish on computers so really cant put a link on but my dress in Magge Sottero, Rhianna Royale, when you see it you might see why I am having a mare with shoes!
Flowers?? Tillypuss have you been told you will struggle with reall flowers? what about you Gemenar? I have chosen Peonies but if they are starting to open too much dependent on the whether I will go for roses. Whereabouts in the country are you both? I know you mentioned the NEC Tillypuss, did you get sorted?

What you both doing for hen do's? I seriously cannot believe how close it is now, I think once I can count the weeks on 2 hands it will terrify me!!!
You chosedn underwear? I am not so sure if I need loads and the dress will be holding all in at the top end and I am not sure if I can be doing with all the fuss, probably to the disappointment of my H2H.. ha ha xxxxxxxxxx Sabelle

Hi sabelle*, my florist said being a bank holiday should still not pose many problems as they always get flowers for wedding a day or two earlier, so wouldn't affect it much as she's making them all up Sunday night. I LOVE peonies (much like those in your pic!) but the ones we grow in our garden are so delicate and papery and I worry about them not lasting the day, so may go for one or two token ones and have roses and greenery for the rest.

Not sorted hen do yet - we were going to have a Sten do, but still not decided whether we will! If I just have a hen do, it will be a small affair perhaps at a spa or local restaurant with a sleepover and chick flicks at ours after! What about you?

Underwear I have got a Gossard strapless bra in ivory which I only chose as it is the perfect shade match, and ironically my knickers are some hold em all in ivory ones I found in Primark (classy, I know, but I have bought some nicer La Senza sexy stuff for the night itself!).

We live between Sheffield and Barnsley and are getting married at our local church, and heading off to Waterton Park hotel for the recpetion. What about you?

So exciting, it's not long now!! xx

Oh by the way your dress is amazing, I love the back detail on it it's such a nice shape! What colour is yours? I have got a total of three wedding shoes now, just can't decide for sure!!

Hi Gem
my florist said exactly the same, I am hoping for Peonies but weather depending, if its warm etc I am going for roses. Like you said, just in case they start to open up too soon. What colour theme are you? I am pink with Mocha.
Good for you with the old Primarni underwear, I don't blame you. Think I will be buying separate stuff for the night, I need to be comfy!! ha ha.
Having a couple of hens, Am going away with 11 friends to Puerto Banus then having a local do in Manchester so mum and relatives can come, cant wait for that, am just dieting like mad for it all though!
You having a church do? What time you getting married? I have seen people are discussing tin=mings and stuff on her for hairdresser etc, how scarey is it? It is sooo close! Feeling a bit stressed now though to be honest, are you? I dont even know what about which is pathetic! don't want to turn into a bridezilla!!!!! xxx

Helloooooooooooo

I am having a really good day! So I wanted to share!

I have been to the florist and took some pictures of what I like and I think she was on my level today. My Florist had said that I would have to have artificial as locallt the flower markets are open on Wednesdays and Saturdays and cos it was a bank hol it will be the wednesday. Bummer. But today it was a better story!! I have sorted out the button holes and the bouquets but I still need to sort out the venue decor - but now I can do it later - gonna go back early May!

I have also been on the look out for shoes today. I have some already but with hindsight I think they are too high and I need to have something more wearable. This is causing me some headaches!

Today I tried on these:
http://www.schuh.co.uk/womens-black-and-blue-irregular-choice-cortesan-floral-bar-court/1106013850/

(cut in a bit and still quite tall)

And these:
http://www.schuh.co.uk/womens-white-and-silver-irregular-choice-mini-magic-floral-low/1249061850/

(like but are they too flat - and would I wear them again?)

And these:

(like these but are they bridal enough?)

Hi Claire, that is great news re flowers. what flowers you going for? what is your colour scheme if you have one as such?

Shoes!! wow, I cant believe it, I have been looking at those irregular choice shoes, I think they are fab, they have their own web site too, not sure if that is where you found them but there are loads on there, they are seriously fab shoes. I love the second ones you put on there, they are soooooo beautiful, I would go for those but I need gold ish ones. What colour is your dress? I think I might have to treat me to a pair of those for honeymoon. The web site has great handbags and stuff as well. I did see that Faith have a new wedding collection too? if there are any on there, but I really think you should go for those. How tall are you? Do you need high heels?

Glad you have had a good day.. Sabelle xxx

Hope the pics work?

Edited to say Yay - the photo's worked!!

And I have been in EVERY single shoe shop in Derby today. They are either very flat or very very high, I work in a factory office so live in trainers - Heels would kill me.... gonna try and upload a pic of the original shoes I bought!

Claire I loooooove the dress, beautiful colour, really think those shoes will look fab with it. The flowers are lovely too. Bet you feel a whole load better now.I'd definately go with the flatter heal if I were you, nothing worse than ragging feet. I searched the whole of manchester for shoes and no joy!! I am only 5foot4, my bridesmaids are 5foot5 and 6, H2b is just over 6 foot so will have to be in agony!! I have however insisted that bridesmaids wear flip flop, which they are more than happy with!

You can out your feet up tonight and chill with a glass of wine and feel happy about your successful day xxx
