Hello ladies!

I started Slimming World in January for my 26th August wedding and I wanted to see if there's anyone else out there whose dieting?

How are you getting on? It would be great to keep eachother motivated!

I don't know about you but I struggle to diet when the weathers lovely because I just want to sit in a pub garden or eat ice cream!

So far I have lost 1 stone 4 pounds (in 13 weeks) I would love to get another 3 off this week! Any tips?

Congratulations on your weight loss already!! Thats fantastic. I however can offer little encouragement unfortunatley, lol, as i am super lazy and although i want to lose a few lbs for the wedding on the 18th Aug i just cannot motivate myself to start
How are you finsing slimming world? is it fairly easy? do you need to exercise too, or can you still lose weight if you just watch what you eat? (LOL, i wasn't lying when i said im lazy! Im a student nurse so constantly on my feet in hospital and too tired to go the gym in my spare time haha)
Good luck on loosing those 3 lbs!!

I had a car accident in November so I haven't managed to do ANY exercise! I think if I had exercised as well the weight would have dropped off even more.

I would highly recommend slimming world, it is so easy to follow and I always feel full. I think it depends on how much you are used to eating though as my H2B is following it as well and eating exactly what I eat but feels hungry so he needs to eat more, its finding the right balance for you. They have been really helpful actually and given us ways to boost your weight loss so it doesn't get boring and you can mix it up from time to time!

Thank you so much! I'm doing everything I can this week to get those 3 Ibs off!

Congrats on your weightloss so far!

I'm losing weight for the wedding, but I'm doing it essentially without trying. I'm doing it on food alone - and I don't diet, I just add slightly more fruit/veg, and also barleygrass (which is amazing by the way )

I lost half a stone in 3 months, and plan to lose another half a stone before the wedding - Want to do it as a longterm lifestyle thing, so hope it goes to plan!

Good luck to anyone else too

Hiya!

I've been using myfitnesspal.com - dont be put off by the 'fitness' part, you can be excersizing doing the housework or having a walk round the shops! It's fab!

Since christmas I have lost 9lb, I haven't been doing it the whole time but I now need to get my act together so thats when I decided to join my fitnesspal a few weeks ago. I'm really enjoying it!

Well done to you on your weight loss! xXx

Congrats on the weight loss ladies

I haven't been strictly dieting, just stopping eating when I'm full and not finishing the plate off for the sake of it. I've lost 7lbs since Christmas hoping to start running again from Monday as it it lighter in the evenings now, just need to find the motivation to get off my backside!!

i sooo wish i had the will power to do this but i love my food and figure its only gonna go to waste if i dont finish it hahaha. Almost every night i finish it 'just because', and even sometimes finish liams too, lol! Never used to be like this, 6/7 years ago i would barely eat a full meal a day but he's turned me into a big greedy c0w

Hi, I am also doing slimming world but not going to classes, doing it on my own with mags and books from when i was a member. I have now lost 3 stone in 5 months and hope to lose another stone before my wedding in September. Planning ahead and walking everywhere has been the biggest help for me,and not beating myself up when I have been naughty, i just start the next day afresh. My inspiration is my gorge dress that I cant wait to get into. Good luck to all who are trying to diet for their big day!!

On Friday morning I was 17 pounds down, though this morning only 13.5, I had a big night out Friday d'oh! My target was to be 19 pounds down by this Thursday so that looks to have gone out of the window, still holding a glimmer of hope it might happen, when you drink you become dehydrated, when you're dehydrated your body holds on to water which makes you heavier...we'll see!

I haven't done a proper diet, more healthy eating really, though I do keep in mind one of the old Rosemary Conley diets (food should be less than 5% fat (less than 5g per 100g), and approx 1500 calories a day). Keeping a fridge full and ensure we plan and go shopping every few days for fresh food has kept us on it too (my other half has lost a similar amount), spending more at the supermarket but not spending on meals out/takeaways/snacks etc. We joined the gym in December, he's doing really well with it but I ave a foot injury and haven't been able to go for a month (it's only a collapsed arch but my god it kills and it was the treadmill + cheap trainers that did it!)

Sugar free jelly is quite good for sweet cravings, glace cherrys are high calorie, but if you do have a sweet craving, one or two of them really take it off! I love my wholemeal bagels for brekkie too, and have tried to limit carbs, I would say every other lunch is carb free, and approx 5 nights a week is also carb free.

I found last week I struggled with not having any crunchy food (it's not just flavour you miss but textures I guess etc), so bought some Ryvita Thins Cheddar and Black Pepper, and some Krisprolls, and stocked up on a variety of philly flavours.

I ordered my wedding dress a size too small, this week I have an appointment with the dress shop to look for a shrug/cape, and they want me to try it on with their sample dress, which is the size they wanted me to order, I'm hoping it will be looser and/or if they take my measurements I'll at least have lost an inch. Can't cope with having them nag me if not!!!

I have, as you can see by my ticker. 10lbs down and 1 to go! I use My Fitness Pal, though admittedly, I've been a bit lax recently, but it's useful with helping you track calories and even when I forget to log my foods, I still have a good idea of what I have eaten and how many calories.

I've been a bit rubbish with the diet recently, but I've been really good with the exercise so I haven't gained! I do an hour of Zumba and an hour of Bokwa a week and I love it!! I also gave up chocolate for Lent, though that's coming to an end soon. I already have the Fererro Rocher at the ready. I'm determined to have lost the final pound before my dress fitting in June. Sounds easy, but I'm useless at sticking to healthy eating. I think its a mental barrier as well. The last time I was less than 125lbs was about 6 years ago, so I was chuffed to read 124 on the scale!

Ooh it's so interesting reading how you're all loosing your weight! Congratulations to you all! This has really inspired me to step it up a gear between now and Wednesday for my next weigh in! I'm not sure that the 3 pounds will be achieved this week but maybe 2 this week and 1 next week and I'll be there!!

Keep up the good work girls! And I love to hear how you're all getting on!

Well done to everyone else on their weight loss! I've not really been dieting, or even exercising for that matter! I've just been a little bit more careful watching what I eat, but I'll still eat chocolate and cakes I just won't have a second one

I also used My Fitness Pal - I used it regularly for about 2 weeks then kept forgetting to put my food and exercise in, but like someone said before, you already have a good idea of how much to eat etc.

Keep going everyone!!

Had a bit of a boost today. Noticed my bras were really not fitting very well since all the exercise. I was wearing a 32F and now I need a 28FF. The last time I wore a 28 back was when I was about 11! Off to Bokwa again tonight which is a necessity since I went to Nandos today. Why is food always my downfall??

I am hoping to loose 2-3 stone. I did loose 4lb, then went and put it back on, ops: so i want to start again.
I have just taken myself off one of my tablets from the doctors, as the side affects are increased appetite and weight gain, and that is depressing me more!!!

So i am ready to start again.

Hi all,

I started a healthy eating and fitness drive in January and although I do this every year, this year it's actually working! I think it's because we all have a set date that we're planning for rather than just 'some time in the future!'

So far I've lost a stone and hoping to lose another 1/2 stone by my final dress fitting (June 16).

Good luck to everyone else....it can be done!

I agree with you Emma, I think having a specific goal and knowing that we'll look back at these photos for years to come is a massive inspiration. Know one wants to look back on their photos and say I wish I just lost half a stone.

Weigh in tonight...eek

It's less than 4 months to go for me now, so going to have to cut out the junk. So far today, I've had a bowl of cereal and that's it. Craving things I shouldn't already though! I'm off to visit my family for week tomorrow. I tend to do lots of walking when I'm there which is good, but my mum also has lots of things in the house that I'm going to be tempted by! I have my dress fitting in 2 months. I'm focussing on that at the moment.
