Hi all! I thought it might be nice to get to know each other...

I'm Sharn, 23 years old and from Staffordshire (west mids). Marrying my H2b on 12th Jan 2013 (hopefully). We've been together 4.5 years and have a beautiful 7 month old daughter, so we figure we'd best get married

So far we've booked nowt but i'm already turning bridezilla i think! Can't wait to get going!

Hello!
I am getting married to my fianc???? on 19th January 2013, we've been together for almost 7 years and I proposed to him on his birthday this year.
So far we've booked our venue but that's about it - lots of ideas floating around but nothing concrete yet!

Yeah there's not many of us Jan brides! No idea why as things are so much cheaper

Hopefully we'll get some more people joining us. When on babyexpert, obviously you don't have much choice when you fall pg so all forums are fairly busy and it's lovely when it gets going!

We've booked our venue. I'll try and post pics...

Hello I am Clare I am 23 years or age, will be 24 when we marry. I am marrying my fiance Simon who is 32! We have been together 8years next month! (yes I was 15 and he was 24, naughty naughty!)

Simon proposed on February 16th 2011 inside Cinderella's castle in Disneyworld Florida, it was perfect!! I am a huge Disney fan and such a princess at heart

We are getting married on Saturday 16th February 2013 at Offley Place in Hertfordshire, we will have been together 9years & 2days the day we marry.

I love the fact we are january brides to be as lets face it british weather is not guaranteed at any time in the year not even july and august. Plus sooo much cheaper and less competition from other brides for things like photographers etc. My name is Sophie and I am marrying my partner Thomas, we are childhood sweethearts and been together since we were 14 (now 21). Our wedding date is 3rd Jan 2013 at Polhawn fort Cornwall

, so exciting and only been engaged since boxing day but to be fair we have been talking about it for about a year.
So far we have put deposit down for venue, booked registrar and paid deposit. I have my shoes and some table decorations.

What about everyone else?

Yay - other January brides!! Nice to meet you all! I'm Hannah and I'm marrying Dan on 26 January 2013 (the 6th anniversary of our first date). We're both 24 and live in Hampshire.

In terms of planning progress: we have our venue, photographer and florist booked, plus I have my dress and accessories. We're meeting with cake makers at the moment and will be giving notice later this week.

oooh ten months today for you Hannah bet you're excited!! Ooh you've done quite alot already get you. How long have you been planning? We started December 26th as we got engaged then and we haven't got much in terms of planning done but have ideas and saved alot on my favourites plus been on here loads (ever so slightly addicted eeek!). We're going to see our florist on saturday so hopefully that will be one thing sorted out. We do have venue sorted and registrar and a few table decorations. Exciting though isn't it? Although, there aren't many january brides on here booo lol x

26th is also a significant date for you, I notice - 3 month engagement anniversary!!

If it makes you feel any better, I've been engaged for 18 months already so relative to the amount of time I've been planning, it doesn't feel like I've done much, hehe. You're making great progress to already have your venue, registrar and (nearly) florist!

What part of the planning are you looking forward to most? For me it was dress shopping

Ahh yes ha I didn't even realise it was our 3 month engagement date - silly me just been thinking too much about wedding stuff :S.
Ah I see 18 months is a long time but bet it's been lovely to not rush over everything. Wish we had more time to save I worked out that with all family and friends' contributions the total of our wedding will be at least 10k!! luckily it is only about 5k for us to spend but still alot! I've never been one to worry too much about money and I'm all about the haggling so when we do eventually book the rest hopefully it will be cheaper than first anticipated.
Well I intend to make some stuff like invites, table runners, table decorations myself because I've always had a crafty streak just never had anything to make for a purpose and now I have one

I'm loving every bit of planning at the moment the only thing that I hate with a passion is the guest list and table plan!! When we first got engaged my fiance and I put all the names down who we wanted to invite but when I spoke to my family they wondered why I had so many friends and none of their extended family. It makes me want to scream I wanted a small wedding with 50 or less people now it is more like 80 - they are all about "the more the merrier". Nevermind though.
What has really got you stressed in the planning?
