Trash/Cherish the dress piccies please!!

Hi everyone, I am hoping to do a cherish-then-trash the dress shoot at some point, would any of you who've already done one like to post your pics so I can get some ideas? (If you don't mind of course!!) I'd really like to do it as a bit of a 1st anniversary type thing, but thats only a week away and I'm not organized at all, so we'll see!

We took my dress on honeymoon to the Maldives and took pictures on the sand and in the sea.

Will try and post a pic. Lots of fun!

I've seen a few...though a few of my married friends have said they'd like to do it but are too scared so may do a 'cherish' instead..?!

i still wanna do this ... im waiting for a down pour of rain so i can go out in it in my dress and use the lovely umbrella my new husband bought me to use at our wedding just in case and i never got to use it ....

so glad !!! but would love to have photos with it ..

MrsR4Eva that's a gorgeous umbrella! Part of me was secretly wishing it would rain a little so I could get to use my umbrella, but on the whole I'm glad it didn't!!

Maylan, I haven't done it yet - too disorganised!! I have a few ideas in mind though, and will definately put pics up when I do get it done!

Anybody in the North West wanting to do one, get in touch! I'm a portrait/wedding photographer and would luuuurve some brave brides to do Trash the Dress with! For free, of course! I'd have as much fun as the bride!

100% going to try and do one myself! Seen some awesome images, and would hate to think of my dress going musty in the loft!

Ahh, some nice ideas. It rained on our day but we spent most of the time without a brolly!

Our photographer completely ruined any special memories our album should have so we're planning to do a 're-shoot' sometime-even though I have completely different hair and the dress is a bit tight since I've been working out and I've developed muscles! Oops. It's just finding the time and then figuring out what we'll do and what we want from the photographs. I'm guessing it's going to be quite hard to recreate that 'wedding day' feeling so maybe we need to think of a cherish the dress style shoot instead...?

hi love gets sweeter .. have you asked any of your guests for the chip from thier camera ?? we had some terrific pictures that guests took on the day after all the photographer cant be everywhere at once .. i gathered all the photos from guests and ones that our photographer took and up loaded them to vistaprint and made a photo book .. i think you should do a cherish the dress and a trash the dress shoot after i still havnt done a trash the dress shoot yet as im waiting for it to either snow or have a massive down pour ,

i plan on doing a trash the dress inly because i didnt get many great shots on the day but also because i pretty much did trash my dress anyway lol. Contacted a photographer last week so watch this space.

Thanks MrsR4eva, I did ask around and we got a few but they're not as good as some of the photographer shots. Some are lovely though and we have a couple round the house. Quite thankful my Father-in-law took some sneaky ones next to the photographer so it's kinda the same shot

Oh, and I did my 're-shoot'! What do you think?

Wow Love Gets Sweeter your photos are gorgeous! I'm sure it doesn't make up for not having the wedding photos you wanted (I, too, wasn't as impressed with our wedding photos as I expected to be) but at least you've now got those to treasure. I'd really like to do a cherish the dress shoot, might start looking into it a bit more seriously.....
