Hi

My mum is plus size and so far we have had no luck on finding a suitable outfit for her - Im sure we will get there I just need to research the internet for more shops boutiques etc - she does not want a high st store eg Evans Simply Be as there is a good chance someone else may be in the same outfit xx

My question is if anyone knows of any websites/boutiques then please post them so I can investigate - i am in essex but more than happy to travel to Scotland if need be to ensure my mum has the right outfit

thanks in advance

my mum ended up buying from a little boutique which were brilliant...but my nan and mil2b have gone with outfits from Jaques Vert, they usually have a section in debenhams of Jaques Vert but it is a designer.

Just spoken to my mum and got the name of the boutique from her incase you want to travel

It's called No 25, and it's in Bourne End near Maidenhead.

This is the website for it:

If your mum can find a dress shop that stocks Ann Balon outfits - 2 web links below - pictures don't do these outfits any justice. They are really flattering on a larger size. The textured material sits beautifully and they are incredibly comfortable too!

Ooh Ann Balon is lush!
I am also a plus size MoB (size 28!!) and am having the same difficulty. I have had a quote from a dressmaker to make an outfit based on Ann Balon styles but haven't seen a pattern or fabrics yet.
I've heard very good reports about this shop.

My mum is looking for a trouser suit that's quite floaty, does anyone know of anywhere that has anything suitable? She's quite short (under 5ft), so doesn't want a long jacket.

We found a lovely grey suit in JV but it was too long for her, and would need 3 or 4 inches taken off. http://www.jacques-vert.co.uk/en-gb/ProductDetails/?cid=JNEWMID&pid=L1K7200&language=en-GB

As we're getting married in July outside she wants something quite lightweight.

We've found that most of the websites only have dresses in. Any suggestions would be great .

Can anyone recommend places in the Manchester/Cheshire area? Found nothing for my mum on the high street, think we need to go to an occasionwear shop really.

My Mum bought hers on Saturday from a boutique in Cheltenham called Tia Tia. The service in second to none, and now she has a fantstic Frank Usher outfit that makes her feel stunning - something she was really worried about.

I'd recommend it to anyone

Hi,

What an excellent thread!! I'm having the same worries with finding something for my mum - she's only just 5ft and is a size 30... It's a real struggle to find anything...

I've just had a quick look on the bigbeautifulandgorgeous.co.uk website that a couple of people have mentioned on here - the stuff looks really nice - I can't wait to go and show my mum now. Really think that we might get something off here...

EllieMcM - there's a shop in Chorlton cum Hardy called Lady Bountiful. Their website isn't the best & we've not actually had chance to go and have a look there yet but I've heard that it's supposed to be ok.

Here's a link: http://www.ladybountiful.co.uk/index.php

Hi..

If you want plus size outfits for bride's mother then i would like to prefer to bride's mother to wear leather dresses or plus size leather skirts. These two outfits are the best choice among all other outfits for bride's mother. For more information about all other plus size outfits for bride's mother visit at http://www.leatherarena.com/ and take a look at our best quality leather dresses and all other leather outfits for both men and women. Leather dresses are also wear by many celebrities in many occasions and you can also wear leather dresses to look fashionable even if you are mother of bride.

Thanks...!

My mum is plus size and tall and found a lovely dress in s shop called cesca (I think they have online too)

It might not suit everyone, but she got a lovely white lace dress that was ankle length - she looked lovely in it and the people in the shop were so lovely.

My mum got hers from here

They go up to size 24. She looks gorgeous in the outfit she chose .

Which online planning tools would you find useful?
