I'm after tree slices to go with my centrepieces. Does anyone know where to get them or is anyone selling any? I need max 5.

Do you mean, like, a slice of tree trunk? I'm after a round one for my cake, but I found some oval ones earlier, let me see if I can find the link in my history...

Hi, Where abouts are you and when do you need them for? I am going to have these for my centrepieces and cake stand too and was looking at making them from trees we have felled on our farm. I would be willing to sell them afterwards if you were interested? x

Hi I'm in Nottinghamshire. But can pay for postage. When do you get married? X

10/05/2013 at 11:12

We're getting married on 24th Aug 13. I will probably make 15 centre ones and a larger, thicker cake stand one. Depending on time and when you need them by I could possibly make some extras if you were interested and couldn't wait until the end of Aug. What sort of thickness and diameter would you be wanting? We have family in Herts/Cambs are are often up and down the A1 so could potentially deliver too! x

We don't get married til April next year so plenty of time. I would def have the cake one and centerpiece ones. I'm using them for my little glass bottles tea lights if you want to let me know how much your wanting for them.

Do you know how wide your cake is going to be? The base of mine is 12" so I will probably make it about 16" across and about 3-4" high. Would that be ok? The centre ones will be around 10-12" by about 2" high. I was thinking £30 for the cake stand and £12 per centre one. x

Hi they sound fine. My cake will be slightly smaller but it Would be ok. Can I ask tho will you be sealing them at as I've read if not they shrink and go funny!? X

10/05/2013 at 12:47

Yes, going to seal them with the same type of oil as you use on real wood kitchen worktops. More layers can be added after each use if needed and it means you can either have them "natural" or buffed up to give a bit of a shine. My email is: eestebbings@hotmail.com if you want to drop me an email so we can keep in touch.

Yea I will Definately, I know how hard it is to find them. My wedding is in October so will be in touch August time if that's ok. Luckily the last making my cake is a really good friend and her partner knew a farmer who was having some trees cut down so we got them that way. We are only use the one for the cake stand so 2 Will be up for grabs. Ill be in touch : )

Emma, if you have not already sold these, I would be interested in buying them for our wedding on 22/11/13. I am in Glasgow. I don't mind then selling them onwards for 2014 weddings. Can you contact me please? Thanks x

I hire out tree slices at £5.00 each.

Collection from Kent

I have large ones for cakes or cheese boards and smaller ones for table centrepieces.

I'm interested in one of these also.

It would be required for December.  We are going to have a wedding cake of cheese so think this would be perfect!  We live in the York area.  If anyone is selling I'd really appreciate it if you could keep us in mind xx
