Hello all,

I'm just waiting for confirmation from Katrina at Capo Bay that the dates are free and we will be booking our May 2013 wedding. Really excited and looking at flowers and cakes already. It seems to long away, need to hold back till next year!!

Is there anyone here getting married at Capo Bay?!?
We went there this year to look round and it was lovely (most expensive place around) but worth it

It is a beautiful hotel and right outside one of the most beautiful beaches in Cyprus, you will have the best time.

Hello 2bmrshodgson,

Have you booked the date with the town hall and Capo Bay?
I have been trying to get hold of Katerina and she isn't answering my emails.

Are you having your reception there too? I wasn't sure if the Guru bar or Terraced would be better as both has pros and cons.

Hi sorry not been on here for a while. Yep had everything confirmed from my wedding planner Kerry @ Aisle of love including date and exact time! I have also paid my 1000euro deposit to katerina. I booked my date back in August and my first option was already taken!

Yep, I am having my reception on the balcony terrace but as you cant have a dj there Katerina advised me I can have a section of the guru bar reserved for afterwards.

Have you got any ideas what you're doing for evening entertainment?

Who are you booking your wedding/holiday through?

Im sure Katerina is just busy, it took the town hall a week or just over to have my wedding date confirmed, it can take even longer aswell if theyre busy!

Hi, I have been informed that Katerina most prob won't work out of season and it would be best to email after April. We get married 24th August this year, soooo excited. Were just going to move on after having the meal to wherever we like. A bit nervous about the hairdresser and make up, how does everyone else feel about this? We have never been to the hotel either, but family and close friends have who say it is amazing. Sam x

Katerina is working as she emailed me a few days ago. I havent booked my wedding yet but Capo Bay is our definate venue! Fairly flexible with dates so im hoping we wont have any problems!

I havent been but it looks gorgeous!!

Im lucky really as my bridesmaid is a hairdresser so she will do our hair! I will be doing my own makeup as i would be gutted if i didnt like how it had been done, i have only ever had my makeup done twice..the first time i didnt really like it and the second time i hated it! So be careful and have a trial run first! X

Hi, I am thinking about getting married at Capo Bay also in 2014 (ages away i no ) only thing putting me off is I think there will be around 50-60 guests and the actual outdoor ceremony venue doesn't look like it will hold as many?? Also, any idea how private it is, don't rly want sunbathers etc listening to me saying "I do" the hotel looks gorgeous since it's been done up!!

I have emailed Katerina, she got back to me but not with any answers to my questions so I have emailed her again. Any info would be great, thanks.

I dont think it is all that private which is to be expected with any outdoor location however i dont think people will be close enough to be able to hear the ceremony.

You may find that people watch from afar but i cant imagine that they would be that rude to come and join your guests!

Im not sure how many the pavillion holds but the ceremony only lasts for about 10minutes so if they couldnt all sit, the remaining could stand at the back. Im pretty sure this will not bother your guests if theyre anything like mine.

Hi again, thanks I suppose it wouldn't be a big deal to stand for 10mins!! I have booked a week in capo bay this June to check it out, rly excited!! Emailed Katerina about 2weeks ago but she has yet to get back to me. The Guru bar looks amazing, I like the sound of the bbq for the evening meal. Wish I didn't have to wait till 2014

Unfortunately im not going to see it before we go for the wedding but i have been reassured by everybody i know that has been and they say its amazing!

Im booking next month (when the brochure comes out) for sept 13..im not sure whether the brochure for may 14 will only be out in about six months time! Id go into a local tour operator and ask.

Having said that, if you are going to use a planner, they will be taking bookings now. It just means that you will have to book the actual holiday at a later date.

Yeh, I will let uz all no. Il take lots of pics too so u can get a btr idea of the place, sure it will be stunning tho! Think i might hv a look at a couple of other places while im there jst to compare, but looking at trip advisor etc it seems to b the most popular. Hopefully il get to meet the wedding planner too and get a few ideas

I have now booked to stay at capo bay for five nights in may..can not wait!

I am also going to have a look around but i have a feeling that i wont find anything better..sooo excited now to go and then get it all booked!! Xx

We went to see the hotel In June...it is gorgeous!!! Now booked the wedding for Septemeber 2013 have our date and time which is great. Can't wait, now need to get my finger out and organised everything else!!!! Xx

Im the 23rd Sept I have 43 guests booked alrdy and about and 15 still to book!! Need to get in touch with Katerina, I was going to go for the full package but had a look at the photographer and the florist and to be honest im not that keen on them - photographer looks a bit cheesey and really basic photos - florist looks really old fashioned Im totally lost!! And struggling to find the time to research other options...don't think being an orgainsed bride is for me lol!!! Xxx
