Weird and crazy celebrity wedding facts
Amal and George Clooney
At the 2014 wedding of the actor and his lawyer spouse, guests were gifted iPods pre-loaded with playlists picked by the couple. Beats sugared almonds, no?

Photo | Rex
Katy Perry and Russel Brand
The celebrity couple exchanged vows in a tiger reserve, and they took the theme and ran with it. By which we mean they booked 21 camels, some elephants and some horse for good measure, just for the marriage procession.

Photo | Getty
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth
For her upcoming nuptials to the Australian actor, singer Miley Cyrus allegedly wants "everyone to get high" by having weed on every table and a "dessert buffet of marijuana edibles". She's also reportedly planned a special hen party with her six dogs at a pet spa, and wants them at the reception with her and is creating a special menu for them too. Now, we know probably none of this is true, but it's quite eccentric nonetheless.

Photo | Rex
Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy
For their intimate New York wedding, the fashion designer and her French husband shunned flowers in favour of some more, shall we say, unusual centrepieces on the tables… Bowls filled with cigarettes. Not quite the romantic floral scent you'd expect, but points for originality.

Photo | Rex
Kate Moss and Jamie Hince
You'd think Kate Moss had it all, but you are wrong, if her gift list is anything to go by. The couple asked for gifts including 14 crystal ashtrays worth £240 each, crates of 2002 Louis Roederer Cristal champagne worth £1,833 each and a £5,000 cutlery service. It wasn't all bad news if you were a cash-strapped guest though, as cheaper items included a rabbit-shaped jelly mould for £35, and tea strainers worth £12.95.

Photo | Rex
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
Kanye being Kanye, he made a super long 20-minute speech in which he praised his new wife for being "the perfect celebrity" and telling guests "the Kardashians are an industry."
Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton
These two got married in cowboy boots, but that's not the weird fact from this celebrity wedding. Guests feasted on venison… which the bride shot and killed herself. Charming.
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline
The secretive pair lured guests over for an engagement party, then surprised everyone on the day with cards reading, "Surprise! It is with much love that we welcome you to our wedding ceremony tonight." But don't worry, they had it all planned, with bridesmaids and groomsmen being gifted Juicy Couture tracksuits with "The Maids" and "Pimp Daddy" embroidered on them and served guests mini burgers and chicken strippers. Guests also left with goodie bags containing a pair of jeans, sweets, Nike shoelaces (we're not sure why) and a keyring with a pic of the happy couple.
Victoria and David Beckham
VB and Goldenballs played King and Queen of the castle for the day when they got hitched at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland, and we're not even kidding. She wore a crown when she walked down the aisle, they sat on golden thrones at the reception, and a purple flag embroidered with their initials was even raised above the castle after their vows. Oh, and slightly random fact, they chose nude sculptures of themselves as a cake topper.
Holly Valance and Nicky Candy
No expense was spared at Holly Valance and her property mogul's wedding. Guest was hand delivered an invitation that cost an eye-popping £300 each. We bet they looked great on the fridge…
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden
Lionel Richie's daughter obviously had a lavish reception on her dad's Beverley Hills estate when she tied the know with rocker Joel Madden in 2010. They even had an elephant because she is apparently obsessed with them and Lionel thought it would be lovely to surprise her with one. As you do.
