9 ways to make your wedding more Kanye West
There's a sentence we never thought we'd write, but we actually can't remember a time before we started spelling everything with a K in front of it, and that's because of the world's 8-year-long obsession with Kim Kardashian and everything that comes along with her. Whether you think it unfortunate or not, this includes the eclectic lifestyle and glamour of the one and only Kanye West. Now, we're not saying you have to like his music or agree with his loudly-voiced views, but if there's any small part of you that feels a little curious about how fabulous life would be as an A-lister, we've got some ideas on how you can incorporate a bit of Kanye into your wedding. Summer of love: a dreamy boho reception full of macramé details in a magical woodland setting
From bunting that matched a macramé cake topper to embroidery hoops hanging from trees, every detail of this shoot, styled by Ela Aksoy at Bochic Weddings and Events, delivered a handmade energy based on the fine art of string knotting. Dream-catchers and watercolour stationery added pops of magenta, turquoise and yellow, while golden candlesticks and pretty crockery kept the theme on the luxe side of rustic. ”We wanted to inspire couples to be a little wild with their choice of food too," Ela says. "Using a mix of antipasti, salads and bowl foods in a range of textures, layers and colours gave the displays real vibrancy, and we created more volume by accenting with fruit, herbs, nuts and flowers. It’s all about the detail!” Photography | Heline Bekker

Country rustic wedding theme
For the ultimate in country styling it’s time to shun shabby chic and instead opt for brushed gold accents and glossy reds, embracing an all-together more glam aesthetic. This gloriously decadent colour palette lends itself to opulent accessories; think ombre cocktail glasses, light up stars and richly scented candles, complementing traditional venues and rustic touches. For a little taste of countryside cool, add wooden accessories strung up with twine to evoke memories of woodland fairytales. Suited up waiters should be swapped for help-yourself style Kilner drinks dispensers, while stationery should reflect the theme with hints of gold and red.
